Last season's ALCS Verlander threw 2 games with a 5.56 ERA and a 1.588 WHIP
If he keeps throwing the way he has this year the tigers should be in good shape, but honestly I think Scherzer having a good game is more important

Why do you say that?
SF won 6 more games in the regular season, and they've got home field advantage? Not to mention (if you believe in momentum) the Giants have way more right now. sometimes when teams have a long break to rest they fall out of their groove, I don't care if Detroit scrimmaged it's not the same thing. I say SF in 6

Tigers have momentum too. They just swept the Yankees for christ's sake. Everyone is downplaying that saying it's something the Yankees did wrong as opposed to what the Tigers did right. **** that. We shut them down and are on a roll as well. We've won 5 straight going back to Oakland.
You are severely underestimating the strength of this Tigers team, as all the other analysts and critics do. They have been on fire at the right times for when it matters most, and aren't going to lose this series.
Tigs vs. Giants Starting Pitchers:
Wins: 5-1 and 5-5
ERA: 1.02 and 3.88
Opp BA: .162 and .252
K per 9IP: 9.6 and 7.2
Our Pitching > Your Pitching

Step 1. Look at my avatar
Step 2. Remember last year
Step 3.
But all seriousness, you do realize what SF just did lol? Came back from 0-2 and 3-1? Of course I don't expect you to agree with me, you're going to root for your team as you should. I simply don't like the tigers or the Giants lol

You seem to be forgetting that the Gints almost got their ***** handed to them.

The regular season simply doesn't matter. The Tigers have the worst record of any team that made the playoffs. The Angels had a better record and couldn't make the playoffs. The Nationals and Reds both had better records than their opponents.
It's all about who's hot when the playoffs start.
If the Tigers bats didn't go cold during the break, this is going to be a very intersting series. The Tigers will have Verlander available for three games. The Giants will have Barry Zito starting Game 1.

At this point in the year, I think the best thing to keep those bats hot is some rest.

When did Infante become a Tiger? I quit watching baseball all together this post season, no interest in it anymore, but I just woke up to a WS game and Infante is on first.

Well I'll tell ya Omar and Gregor are two of the best pick ups for utility men on the planet. I was sad to see both of them go from Atlanta, but I was downright pissed when we lost Infante for the massive flop of a trade Uggla. So was everyone else in the city. We lost a guy who could quite literally play every single position except for pitch, and pick up a guy struggling at the plate that can barely play second base.

Giants will do a little better than the Yankees who were so badly humiliated but SF will still be decimated by Verlander.

The fact that you're a Tigers fan does significantly cloud your judgement. The Yankees simply blew and they were also absolutely terrible in the previous series against the Orioles. That series was more about what the Yankees did wrong than the Tigers did right. You act like the Tigers were just dominant, which was simply not the case. Also, what do you mean by "we" and "our pitching"?
