Holy crap, you need to stop injecting Haterade straight in to your system

First off, he strikes out less than Mike Trout. And twice in the last two games he's been down 0-2 and worked a walk.

Are you going to start tossing EVERYONE who smashes their bat at the plate? There'd be over 200 ejections this season alone.

Cueto:
17-6, 2.48 ERA, 181.2 IP, 2 CG, 0 SHO, 3.51 K/BB, 144 SO, 1.24 WHIP.

Plus Cueto getting 20 wins playing on the best team in baseball isn't nearly as impressive as Dickey getting 20 wins on a team that will finish the season with a sub .500 record. Would I love to have Cueto on my team? No doubt. Is he more deserving of the Cy Young award than Dickey? No way.
Meh, CG's and SO's are nice to have but I'll take the guy with the significantly lower ERA every time. If the award were given today I'd go with Cueto. We'll see where they end up though.

As far as AL goes, there's no question that it should be King Felix.

That's not a significant drop in ERA.

Dickey has more innings, more strikeouts, more shutouts, and a much lower WHIP. He's the better pitcher this season.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Gio : D

I used to throw one when I played, albeit with a slightly different grip. Great pitch when it is moving right.

Wow just found this thread.. And thumbs up on King Felix for the CY young, yes I am biast because of me being a Mariners fan but he truely is deserving such a dominate pitcher, especially with the Mariners sub par offense. Also.. He has the best curve ball in the AL

Chipper Jones is a legend. His at bat tonight would never make it in a movie because it is flat out unbelievable, just too good to be true.

The Braves were down by 4 going into the bottom of the ninth. They put up some great at bats. With the tying runs on the bases(second and third), 2 outs and against one of the best closers in baseball Chipper stepped up to the plate. I thought he would be walked and they would take their chances with the next guy, you never want to face Chipper in this situation. They chose to pitch to him.

2 on, 2 outs, bottom of the ninth, down by 2. Chipper took a ball, then swung at a fastball right down the middle and missed for strike one. Well the guy threw Chipper another fastball, right down the middle again. It landed 450 feet away in the right field bleachers. Chipper Jones has another 9th inning walk off homer.

First ballot into Cooperstown, one of the greatest 3rd baseman ever to put on a uniform, one of the greatest hitters of all time, arguably the greatest switch hitter of all time, and hes done it all with one team.

Enjoy retirement Chipper, you've earned. Just don't leave before you take the Braves to another World Series.

I hate him to, but it's the same hate I have for Derek Jeter. The kind where you realize that the hate is only active when he's on the field.

Who ya'll got for NL MVP (Trout is AL by a long shot)? McCutchen or Braun. And do you think Braun will NOT get votes because of the PED stuff in the offseason.

As far as I'm concerned Ryan Braun's numbers for the first 50 games shouldn't be considered.

McCutchen or Posey.

I haven't seen the Yankees play this bad for this long in years. It's infuriating to watch.

I've got Medlen. He's been unbeatable in the second half.

Consider yourself lucky, imagine how you would feel if you were a Philly's fan.

Honestly the Yankees are the worst team in the majors with the best/most expensive players. They don't grow players and keep them in the organization, they just buy the best players from all over the league. For the most part, those players are egomaniacs that don't care about the team, they care about their bank accounts. The one guy I love is Jeter.

The Yankees and Orioles have pretty much identical records and play in the same division. Yankees payroll is 200 million. Orioles is 80 million. The Rangers are smoking the Yanks at 120 million.

But by far, the most embarrassing Yankee payroll comparison is with the Oakland Athletics. The A's have a better record than the Yanks with the lowest payroll in the majors. 55 million. The Yankees are literally paying 4 times more than the A's and have a worse record.

If I had a dollar every time someone told me about the Yankee payroll I would be rich. Honestly, get the **** over it.

Nooooope, I may not complain about their payroll, but I sure as heck enjoy pointing out when they are losing to teams with a fraction the payroll.

Also, Mark Reynolds says hello.

If I had a dollar for every time someone said they were a Yankees fan but didn't live anywhere near the Bronx, I'd be rich.

Actually, looking at the teams in the playoff race, the gap between the haves and have nots is rapidly diminishing.
