I think the Shaft 4's aren't capable of being drilled because of how thin the metal would be at one point. It would be way too flimsy for a dive. The only way I could think to do it is to use TechT iFit inserts. I don't know that it's ever been attempted, or of it's even possible.

I've seen many shaft 4 backs bored already for freak inserts. But no one has said where they did it.

Yeah after I looked at the shaft barrel next to an insert, I can see that the part of the barrel I was concerned about is beyond where the insert would rest.

Shaft 4 boring is very dangerous as there is not much material on the outside. They are also in an odd shape so it makes it difficult to fixture.people have had them done, but they run very very very thin and if youre not afraid to have it break/damage, im sure docs or stanchy would do them as long as you tell them you dont mind if the machine breaks/damage your barrel. Planet Eclipse never intended for this to be done so they already shaved as much weight as possible on the outside.
