50g Micro Switch Hunt

This has been brought up 100,000 times in the past but searching those threads turns up nothing current to purchase. I must be the only person still playing with outdated gear.

I am looking to buy a new switch but cannot seem to find what I need. There are micro switches all over eBay but non of the sellers seem to know what the pressure rating is. Anyone still have this or know a reliable place to purchase? And Radio Shack isn't one as they looked at me cross eyed...

Huge thank you for this!

However 25g is going to be way too sensitive I think. This thing would debounce like a hyper caffeinated skitso on crack. Also the price for that is absolutely insane. I'm near 100% positive that e-paintball bought that for near nothing and the mark up is HUGE.

trigger kit looks sweet though.

with the exception of the sniper rounds and the UTB the site is useless. Such a shame too. They had some nice items once upon a time.

EDIT: So after the poking around I managed to find more items in the store. That site has clearly been neglected for some time. There is indeed a listing for a 50g Spyder switch for $1.00 with $6.00 shipping however considering the obvious negligence of the site I am going to refrain from giving my money to Neo in cyberspace. Not to mention $6 for shipping is a little much to drop something in your mailbox...

Its amazing what a trip to radio shack 10 years ago turned into.

Anyway, go there & buy one of these 4 switches. ( one, two, three & four ) I dont remember which one it was but one will fit in the kingman frames.

Get one with a lever or roller lever for a softer pull. If you want it stupid light, open the switch, bend the tabs & reassemble. Then throw the trigger spring away. I sold them for $10-DIY or $15-I install years ago. IF you can solder your out under $10.

Its almost tempting to buy a frame & mod just to make a how to but then again these days people dont know what a search button or a sticky is.

As idiotic as it sounds I didn't consider looking on Radio Shacks website. Out of the several stores I walked into I kept getting answers similar to "Radio Shack doesn't carry those kinds of switches." Mind you I was getting that answer without telling them what I was doing with it.

See this is why I have to rely on people like yourself. You have already experienced how these switches work because it still doesn't say what the activation pressure is. I have overlooked numerous switches like these because it couldn't give me that answer.

Your help is much appreciated. After I get the old one out ill take it apart to see what you mean about the tabs. DIY will certainly come with that.

Unless kingman with to a lighter switch to begin with, the ones at RS will be lighter. I know they will for sure after tweaking the internal contacts.

Every time I go into Radioshack and start looking through the component drawers, an employee comes over and asks if I need help. I tell him/her what I'm looking for and all they can say is "um, er, um..."

They need some real electronics people to work for them.

So I broke my switch trying to determine the right method of modifying it to achieve what I wanted. So then I sat and looked at the pieces for a few minutes and decided to do away with the switch altogether. I kept the housing and stuck one of the metal contacts out of the hole. The other contact I extended the wire and attached to the back of the trigger with gorilla glue and some shrink tube with a hole it in. So now I have a 0 gram switch essentially. works perfectly.

Also I took the trigger spring and cut a loop off to soften it a bit. If I jerk the marker just right it fires on its own. Dangerous but WOW is that trigger soft!

Okay I gotcha now. Thanks for that. However to quote myself I don't need a switch any longer. I completely bypassed it.
