without modding the ram, only 1 qev will fit on the ram. The swivel part of the ram has a different thread (i.e. not 10/32 threads). you can redrill and tap this port, but it is customarily not done as it may cost as much as getting a new ram. (Getting the tools to do it if you dont have them, or paying someone to do it for you is what I mean by too expensive).

depends... the tap and handle aren't that expensive.. it just needs to be done.

A teammate of mine put a single qev on his STO and noticed no difference in being able to lower his settings, or getting faster cycling speed.

It will work, the changes may not be that noticeable though.

you must be very clear on this point.

the end with the swivel fitting IS 10-32 thread and you CAN put a QEV on that one port after you take the swivel fitting off. you will probably want to use a diffrent fitting than the swivel one on your QEV.

BUT, you CANNOT put a QEV on the other port, the mounting head port. it is 6-40 threaded, and must be re-tapped to 10-32 to put a QEV on it.

it's not a big deal if you have the tools and you know what to do.
but my opinion is that the STO has too much friction and you are better off using a different ram that has lower friction and two 10-32 ports.

one qev will make a big difference,it made my cockers easier to shoot fast strings, its made return stroke less resitance, and make the response really snappy!i just wish i could use 2 qev on my sto ram.
