GT and Spire both worked great sunday. One thing about Spires, take your batteries out.
Mine was having feeding issues till I replaced the batteries... 2 weeks from new batt to dead sitting in the Spire, boo
The funny thing was I got more oohs and aahs over the Spire than the factory fade Clone GT.
Oh, and we broke a white/gold NT11 bolt trying to get the stem thing unscrewed from the back cap.
Awesome design there.

How did it break. That sounds like it was cross threaded and locked up if something broke.

It was the same with my NT11, except we were more careful. I think they loctite the thing and since it's a thin rod, it's easy to snap/bend if you muscle it too much one way.
It wasn't cross threaded. It's a known issue with that part of the bolt.

It was always a problem with those stems. Some came from the factory crazy tightened and people were breaking bolt stems. Dye tried to remedy that by adding wings so you had more leverage, I don't feel they helped much.

Seconded.
Z2 fail on the second pic though. That's the main reason keeping me from buying one of those right now. I don't want my damn lid coming open.

I've heard that the virtue lids are pretty good when it comes to staying shut. I can't justify getting rid of my rotor though when it works fine. I'd love to get one just for fun though.
