i think the best army wife/girl i've seen was my buddy josh (not pr1mo). he met his future bride on facebook, while she was still in high school. took her to prom n' all! they got married a few months before we deployed, we get to iraq and they fight like dogs all day and night. we get home, he finds out she was cheating with at least 9 dudes and gives him the clap. immediately files for divorce and celebrates by spending every penny he's saved on a POS late 90's/early 00's camaro. after about 2 weeks, the camaro's tranny takes a **** and cost around 2 g's to fix. he then gets out of the army and shacks up with...you guessed it...an 18 year old high schooler he met on facebook (bonus! she has a kid too!).

I had a private that JUST graduated OSUT salute me inside today.

Was just chillin with a friend after picking him up on his long-pass from Ranger (I drove from work to pick him up, then had to go get something at Commando).

Private walks by (with his family and GF in tow), stops, nervously salutes and goes, "GOOD AFTERNOON SIR!"
I was like, "Hey man, you don't salute in doors. Congratulations on your graduation though."
Him, " oh.... Thank you sir!"

Feels weird being a 1LT. My platoon trainer was a 1LT when I first got here...
...Tom is still a 1LT (iirc). 'Cept of course...he's done ****.

Lol been a captain for a while homie. I haven't done ****; the dudes who have done **** are at Walter Reed without legs or buried at Arlington.

I can respect that. Although, I feel like I'm starting to meet the right people and form connections around here to some highly influential people who've served in some... "elite" units that could potentially put me in a good spot to move forward with my career.

Gotta graduate first!
