Allied Command Updates

ALLIED COMMAND UPDATES-

Here is the latest update from Allied Staff.

A few months ago, players assigned to all Allied Units received
a 'Allied Player Satisfaction Survey' and the response was fantastic.
You told us what we did right, what we did wrong, and (most
importantly) how we could better serve you. After spending
some time going through the responses, there are a few changes
that we are committed to making for D-Day 2013.

1. Allied TOC security is gone. This is your vacation and you
shouldn't be asked to come and watch a building to make sure
people with red armbands don't come in. We completely agree
that this is unnecessary and have found a better solution.

2. The personnel tent will be manned by D-Day staff. We will no
longer need people to volunteer to check people in. Again, this
is your vacation. Your "job" during this week is to have fun, not
to sit at a computer and process other paying customers.

3. The game will never again be called early. Many of us travel
thousands of miles and, win or lose, we want our game to go
until the final buzzer.

4. The game flow and design will be very different in 2013. Game
staff is working on creating a brand new event. Expect the
unexpected.

5. Alcohol consumption will not be gone, but it will at least be
more off to the side. This is a family event. While you can expect
people to have a beer or two in camp, you will be less likely to
see loud drunken parties in the middle of camp. So, if you're of
age and wish to consume alcohol, it will be around. If you don't
want to explain to your kid why all of these grown men are
stumbling about, you won't have to. And, as always, please be
respectful of others.

6. The 2013 event will be compressed air ONLY. No CO2 will be
available at the field. Please be prepared for this.

More changes are coming and, as always, the Allied Staff is
listening. If you have any issues that you would like to have
addressed, please feel free to pass them along and I will do
my best to fix them.

Any questions? Drop me a line or give my office a call.

Sincerely,

Snipers

ALERT!

The Allied Command is putting out a call for dedicated sniper
teams for next June's Oklahoma D-Day Event.

We're not talking about players with flatline barrel equipped guns
but rather for shooters with weapons capable to firing FS rounds.
If you're a member of a 2-3 man team who lives for a chance to
make significant game changes with just a single shot, drop me
a line.

Sincerely,

Heads up,

While not directly D-Day related I wanted to bring to
everyone's attention the fact that our former SAC,
Jason White (Team Wetworkz), has a very ill daughter.
She's been in the hospital now for quite some time
(can't imagine the expense). The good news is she's
made it through a very involved operation this past
Wednesday and is now on the mend.

Please keep him and his entire family in your thoughts
and prayers.

Thanks,

Shameless recruitment plug. 508th PIR "Fury From the Sky"

The 508th PIR of the 82nd airborne is a new regiment for the 2013 DDAY. The team that have been chosen to run it, Armor Up Paintball, are a great group of guys. This group of guys have been in the front lines the past 3 DDAY events and were a force to be reckoned with, we intend to be on the front lines and in the thick of "battle" again this year and every year we attend. Our main goal is to have fun at these events not so much the marching and "military" part. With that said though we play serious and definitely want to win. If you need a regiment to join and want to have fun send me a PM and ill give you more info and put you in the 508th PIR Facebook group so you can get to know everyone before the games start.
Looking forward to meeting you and defeating the Germans again this year!

4th Infantry Division

4th I.D.

Have you been wondering what unit to join, but don't know
which one will fit your personality and play style? Join the
4th ID and you'll find your D-Day home. No matter what
your style is, you'll find the hardest charging, most fun
group of people you will ever meet in the 4th. We welcome
every player to the unit, no matter what your age or play
style is.

Want to run a heavy weapon? Consider Alpha Company.
Want to goof off with some funny guys that are known for
tearing apart the Germans while having a lot of laughs
along the way? Run with Bravo Company.

Want a more militaristic feel? Join up with Charlie or
Victor.

Do you like down a lot of paint and then going back to
share stories over an ice cold beer? You definitely want
to roll with Tango.

Are you a father and son that want to spend your vacation
at D-Day but you don't want to be around all of the drinking
and parties? Uniform is the place for you.

In the 4th, we don't march. We don't salute. We don't stand
in formation. We don't waste your time in useless meetings.
What we do is take the fight to the Germans and drive them
out of every place we find them. Wherever we go, we send
any Germans we find straight to the dead zone. There's nothing
that can stop the 4th ID.

Cam Farris,
Commander 4th I.D.

2004 - Brandenburg Kommandos
2005 - Absent (busy getting thrown out of an airplane)
2006 through Present - 4th Infantry Division

101st Airborne Pathfinders

101st Airborne Pathfinders

by Eric Engler

A pathfinder is a paratrooper who is inserted or dropped
into place in order to set up and operate drop zones, pickup
zones, and helicopter landing sites for airborne operations,
air resupply operations, or other air operations in support
of the ground unit commander. Pathfinders first appeared
in World War II and continue to serve an important role in
today's modern military, providing Commanders with the
option of flexibly employing air assets.

Do you have what it takes? The 101st Pathfinders are back
under the umbrella of the 101st and we will be recruiting for
this unit along with our own airborne units. I am also looking
for a CO for the unit as well. Contact me directly if you have
an interest in leading as Jake MCNiece one put it "one tough
bunch of SOBs.

For more details please contact me, or write
Eric directly - information@englerpaintballguns.com

What unit suits you?

I am planning on attending in 2013. I may have 1-3 friends
with me but that's not a sure thing. I've played woodsball
for several years now with my own field in my back yard
including a few structures I've made myself. I'm not sure
what side I want to play for, I'm from Kansas City and would
love to find a unit here that I could practice and play with.

Thanks for your time!

Blackbelt08

~~~~~
Believe me Blackbelt08, with the game lasting from 0900 until
1700 hours- you'll have plenty of time to get all the action you
want. More importantly, you'll have to be sure to pace yourself
to be able to last all day. Even though you are from the KC area,
so the temps won't be all that unusual, we've had Oklahoma players
in our unit before that didn't take heed of the advice to pace
themselves and were worn out and done by early afternoon.
No matter what side you choose, plan on having the time of your life
at D-Day! OH! and be sure you own a hydration pack-it is a MUST!
899th TDB
Hunt tanks with the 899th Blackcats.
Run towards that two things every infantry
is scared of... Planes and tanks.
Join us. Seek strike and destroy for points
that bring the allied army closer to victory.
Tanks do not simply roll by the black cats.
AFAIK no tank has past a black cat unkilled
in two years! The group is really tight and it
makes a huge difference on the Big Game
Saturday.
We welcome all willing to challenge themselves
and see one of the things that makes DDAY an
amazing game--Tank-AT interactions. (In our case,
cleaning up tanks all over the field!)
For more information on the 899th visit them on
their Facebook page and don't forget, Dec 15th
is the cut off for the special D-Day Park deal that
includes your entry ticket, a 2013 tee shirt and a
case of paint;
2012 Replay with the 101st
Here's a clip that was posted as a reminder of past
events, to stoke up returning members of this unit
as well as to inspire others who haven't yet had a
chance to attend. Looking for plenty of action, sign
up with the 101st..
WickedFew Pb
Start at 09:30 and watch as we take out the entire
Axis force, Just be sure to turn HD on and full screen,
you can see them charge forward and then get turned
right around and sent back....that was good stuff. Oh
and maybe getting behind enemy lines and barrel
tagging people and breaking a hole though their lines.
2012 rocked!
