With a pump you have to pump it to shoot it.

Semi, each time you pull the trigger it will shoot a ball.

Pump, you must physicaly re set the fireing mechanizm via a pump before the gun will fire. (most of the time.)

im pretty sure a bolt action rifle (one where the bolt needs to be cycled to get the next round chambered) is far more closely related to a pump style rifle/gun such as a shotgun then it would be to an M4 or revolver...

thats why it says "cept for" i know this lol same with some revolvers. you have to cock the hammer back on some. Some you dont have to and those are called double action revolvers.. most older ones tho you have to have the hammer cocked back before pulling the trigger

i am not an idiot i know you have to cock it i meant to ask what advantages does a pump have to make me want to pump everyshot and do a slower rate of fire and have to do extra effort to put 1 ball in the air

It's more satisfying to play pump against semi's.

Gun battle with an electro and get the goggle shot while they are dumping pods at you. Satisfaction.

Sure.

I play pump paintball because it's fun.

It's kinda like driving an auto vs manual transmission. Both will get you from point A to B, but slightly different.

Some people are really good with pump markers, more accurate, etc... and some people aren't cut out for it.

Borrow someone's gun and see what you think about it for yourself.

Most of the pumpers I know stop shooting semis when their skill level reaches a point that they are better than the people they are playing against and there isn't much of a challenge anymore. They are bored.

Playing with a pump against semis is much harder therefore it is also much more challenging. The adreneline rush comes back when your skills enable you to compete against semi players.

It is also considerably cheaper (less paint).

Mostly, it is really fun!

With pumps you dont go pewpewpewpewpewpew (unless you have an autotrigger). Sounds more like a "pow tick pow" or sometimes a "pfft tick pfft".
