Cool Halo Too side-mounted force feed loader.

Hi guys,

I just recently got into Paintball as a new hobby, bought a Gog G1, but being left handed, and a sucker for realistic looking weapons, I decided to do a custom built side-mounted Hopper feeder system to clear the top fo the marker up and to work better for me as a "leftie". here's a Pic breakdown of the build.

There you go. Awesome looking Marker, Hopper out the way, feeds at whatver the marker needs up the flexi hose, and is not top heavy.

Hope this helps a few others to try and create some other projects for Milsim looking markers.

regards

Alan

Impressive!

I'm not into milsim or scenario guns, but I admire your fabrication abilities.

I just hope you never have to switch hands................

Cool Idea. You should look into the warp feed.

Nicely done, routing the feed hose through the hopper body seems like it's going to have a negative effect on capacity, but its a good job for sure. Less bulk then a warp feed setup.

Thats interesting, but they do have the warp feed or the qloader for this sort of thing.

OLD FEEDBACK!

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

@cfl Mike,
Not in this Country they don't. besides, Q-Loaders are proprietry, in other words, once it's out, you can't just pour in a pod, it needs to be reloaded..

I'm aware of the loader systems out in the market place, this wasn't done to replace them, it was built because it's what I had, and it's built on what I wanted out of a loading system, not what other people think I need.

it works 100%, either left, or right handed, and its 100% functional.. Winning..

@ team Misfit,

not at all.. As I explained, my right arm holding the foregrip causes the hopper to rest on my forearm.. You can't feel any additional weight that the original weight of the marker anyway.. It's certainly a lower COG based on the grip points, and not in any way "heavier" than original..

Ghetto *** new school wannabe warpfeed lol but props since it looks decent. I also hope you are good at shooting left handed because right handed doesn't appear to be an option.

Thats really innovative. I used to do the 'hose through hopper' cuts on the old revvies for warp feeds and even did a couple halos as well but never thought to just bypass the warp and use just the halo itself as the driving force direct mounted to the marker...

Well done sir, I just hope the shells where the holes are drilled hold up to the stress of running around with it. Could you possibly add a bracket from the bottom line to help stability in any way? Or are the metal plates taking up most of the stresses of holding everything in place?

No problems at all, and can capably "push" up to 15 BPS.
it's also 100% capable of being left OR right hand used.

Descriptive thread in the Gog G1 section if anyone's interested.

Does it have any issues feeding when you get low, or does the halo have enough thrust to push the ball all the way up to the breach?

This thing is awesome. I admit when I first saw it, I was like: "So what? It's just a warpfeed." But then I remembered how cumbersome those things were with the loader AND warp. So hat's off to you man.

The screw inside the hopper shell look like they might catch a ball and break paint in the hopper itself. Im sure you've looked into it but that just scares me. All in all awesome job!

Thanks for the comments.
As I mentioned earlier, we don't get Warp Feeds here, and the other problem is, you need to carry spare loaded pods for the Warp Feed. This is like any other marker, just the Hopper's on the side.

Feed will naturally stop pushing balls to the Neck entry point when there are no more balls on the rotor disc naturally. As the rotor has nothing to push up the pipe, if you know what I mean. As soon as the there are balls again, the rotor forces them up without a problem. Had at least 8 Milsim bushwar games already including our D-Day which was mega long, one day alone I dropped approx 4000 to 5000 balls as I was a Heavy Gunner. Not one break anywhere. Ran out of gas tho..

Since the Pics were taken, the entire inside has been covered with felt, including all the nuts etc. makes for a very quiet hopper now.

Why couldn't you have ran the hose off the normal feed from the bottom? Just curious because I'm looking at doing similar but don't want to drill holes in my shells..

Maybe I missed it, but the bolts protruding into the side looked like they might cause issues...obviously they haven't since you haven't commented on this as being an issue, but I thought during your construction photos that they looked like they might protrude enough to cause clipping while the paintballs moved around in the body...and do any paintballs get stuck behind or around the tube, or is it wide enough to prevent this? Looks like you fabricated a swell looking and operating alternative to top mount feed systems! Nice job sir!
