shooting your tank to empty will result in the marker not fully cycling once it has less than 140psi in it. If the bolt gets stuck forward, air may leak out of the barrel.

A hole in the frame? Are you referring to the vent port that's under the back cap?

if so, read this:

Solution: Check the bolt sail oring (016), rear bolt guide oring (013), the external can oring (stretched 017) as well as the first oring behind the can (first oring of the four, closest to the threads. should be an 017) . I also recommend making sure the transfer ports on either side of the FT screw have NOT been touched and are sealed properly with teflon tape and/or a spec of blue threadlock
If it's leaking from between the frame and the body, read this:

Thanks. I won't know if its worked till next weekend cuz I have no air in my lp tank but its probably the frames o rings. Mostly cuz I don't think I saw any when I changed the trigger or they fell out (if they can)

Also check to see if your FT screw is dialed all the way in. When mine is all the way in, the air comes out at a high rate. If so, turn it out (counter clockwise) in half turn increments til it stops. Worked for me. Along with the oring changes as promod has suggested. If all of that doesn't work, try tightening top hat on the reg. That was suggested by a machine tech

let me take care of this; he's saying he has a constant leak, so the FT screw isn't the source because it is not a pressured seal. the top section of the reg is only applicable if the marker is over pressurizing, which would be emphasized by the marker leaking, and then firing a loud shot on its own every so often

Only one o ring in between my frame and body on the right side as u look at it, left side of the body when its not unsidedown. The second o ring is mia and I'm guessing that why I was loosing all my air

Yep! that's where the leak is. There should be an oring on each side in the little recesses. The oring should be a 1x3 if you've got a pro-shop in the area, they should have them in stock because they're used on lots of markers as solenoid/frame orings

one great thing about this gun is that you dont have to take the frame off to change triggers. if more people knew this, then more people wouldnt have the problem of loosing these orings between the frame and the body. Also, i have had problems keeping my asa tight. would it be wise to use some lock-tight? what would cause the velocity to drop off as i start shooting faster?? Thanks!

The way I have my trigger setup, I cannot remove it from the marker without taking off the frame. (top set-screw is tightened too much, it doesn't clear the frame when I take the trigger out)

thread-locking the ASA screws should be fine, and there's no reason for that to cause drop-off. I've already taken the liberty to do that on mine (remember to use blue loc-tight. If you've got the red loc-tight, just throw it out, it's useless as far as paintball goes)

i found that my drop off problem is due to me buying the SLP reg instead of LP reg.

That would probably do it.

Everything I have seen has recommended 450-550 pressures, but I have heard of some people using SLPs.

That's interesting; I've been using a SLP reg for a while now with no adverse effects...then again, I've cleaned out my marker completely so I get the most airflow possible.

sounds like you are over pressurizing the reg. I wouldn't put air on it until you talk to Machine or someone to verify you aren't blowing the solenoid

He's right, you didn't re-assemble the HPR correctly so there's unregulated air leaking into the solenoid lines, which causes the marker to fire. there's a trouble shooting section at the bottom of the tuning guide that might help

Thanks, I knew what he did wrong, but didn't know what the fix was.

Just got my Vapor this past weekend so I'll be playing with it this week to learn all the ins and outs.

Here's the back story: That screw inside the top hat is mainly used as a means to keep the unregulated air separate from the regulated air; It's a transfer port of sorts. It can, however, be adjusted to change the volume inside of your regulator ever so slightly. If you over-adjust this though, unregulated air will leak into the regulated air side and cause your solenoid to vent from over-pressurization.

When I take the top hat off, I tighten the transfer piece all the way in (turn CCW until it stops) I then turn it back (Clock-wise, CW) about Pi radians, or 180*, (one half of a full turn), (half of a pizza for you pre-schoolers ).

Any more and bad things happens :/
