Recommend any supplements?
I just want to know if anyone with experienced would recommend like a recovery and protein builder powder. Like the stuff that comes in those big tubs and you mix it with water.
I am getting into weight lifting so just wanted to do some research.

what you are referring to is called either "protein powder"(whey or casein, usually) and/or "weight gainer".(which is usually protein and carbs, mostly).
If you are lifting heavy weights regularly, you should aim to take in a minimum of 1 gram of protein per # of Lean Body Mass. LBM is your weight after you subtract your body fat. The point of protein powder is to help you meet this requirement without having to "gorge yourself" on meat. It is also pretty much the cheapest source of protein you can buy.
A weight gainer shake has protein in it, but it's basically meant to be easy extra calories if you are someone who can't eat enough to gain weight. Some forums embrace these, but most of the places I post these are looked down upon, as you should be able to manage to eat enough whole food sources in order to fulfill whatever macronutritional requirements you have after a short period of adjustment for your body.

So in your opinion what would be a good protein powder brand if I were to go buy some?

It depends on what your goals are.
I'm trying to cut weight and currently use trutein, Beverly ump, and dymatize ISO 100. These are a little pricey, but I like them as they are low calorie, great tasting, and have the macros I need.

lol wut
Didnt realize 4g carbs/3g fat is going to ruin a cut cycle.
OP, You will notice no difference in body comp if you ingest a strict Isolate or a common WPC.

I mainly want to improve my veritcle for I'm only 5 foot 10 and believe it or not, inches away from dunking. So I want to focus on squats to work my legs. I want to use stuff that improves muscle, not just makes them look big with water weight.

Start off by researching daily macro nutrients. Calculate. Abide. Than come back

lol'd. as pirate stated, the 4-5 grams of extra carbs is not going to make a noticeable difference. if you arent worried about money, Optimum nutrition protein is the most well known. if you are worried about money, a few of us could point you in the direction of some cheaper proteins, normally they arent as good quality as the high priced, but meh

It's not going to ruin or change a cycle, but I always have issues with quickly going over on my carbs. Anything that ups my protein without extra carbs is a plus in my book. It might not make a difference, but meeting my macros almost perfectly gives me a nice peace of mind.

if you can't spare 10g of carbs, you need to seriously rethink your diet. That's all.

Like I said before, I know it won't really make a difference. I'm picky about meeting my macros. It helps me "stay on track".
