Barrel kit choice
Hi guys today I just traded my DW full kit with all the inserts. Im kinda wanting another kit but something not as big just because I mostly used only 2 inserts with my DW kit. I would like to keep to cost down a little BUT I dont want to sacrafice quality at all so this is what Im here to ask you guys. What smaller kit or barrels should I get? I was looking at a CP and for $90, I could get a front and 2 different sized backs but I want to know feedback on all the barrels! Suggestions and opinions are welcome!

why don't you just take a DW with only the basic inserts??
Let's say 0.679 , .684 , .688, and you will be able to shoot every paint..

Little more then $90 but based off your sig look into a bob long kit. Made by cp, nice control bore and porting. Love mine personally.

Like this guy said. Just don't carry a full kit. .682, .684, .687. That's all you need.

Love freak inserts. They are cheap and readily available if you damage or lose them. Freak barrels are a good choice. If you like CF, the DW is good choice, but I prefer something more robust. I have a freak bored UL that I love.

Or if you go with a CP, go with a .679, a .682 and a .685. I'm a fan of CP, I feel like their products are consistently high quality and affordable. It's a matter of personal preferance though.

Visit disruptivepaintball.com - Sry no link I'm on the cell.
They are similar to old Kaner barrels sold by WGP. Disruptive 2pc barrels have a 7in bore

I went on their website and they look interesting and great for the price. You said the Disruptives have a 7in bore length, DOES ANYONE KNOW THE LENGTH OF THE CP BORE? And if you have used a CP 2 piece, please post about it!

The problem with freak inserts (at least the older inserts; not sure about the newer ones) is that many of them are mislabeled. I suppose it doesn't matter so long as the paint you want fits, but it'd kinda suck to have several of the same insert because some are mislabeled.
Personally, I like my Scepter kit but in the end, I'm more about length (prefer 14") than having a perfectly sized paint/barrel match

Lots of choices. Would a UL be significantly better than a CP 2 piece?

I have used CP barrels for the last decade. Get a .682 and .685 back and you will be set. Snapped one tip and they gave me a new one free of charge. Great customer service.

Pretty much everything is somewhat comparable these days, you have to try them out and see what you prefer personally. Everyone is going to have a different opinion, doesn't mean any of them are right.
DYE, CP, PE, Empire/SP, DW, and on and on and on.. They are all good.
I love the 2pc "balance" Disruptive barrels and their company is great. 2 backs and a tip would run you 80 bucks + shipping. They are comparable to a Shaft 4. Longer control bore, lots of porting. I have a full set of ULs, a full set of Bob Longs (same as a CP).. The only 2 pc I used is the Disruptive.
I haven't used their 1 pc or tried their new "Death Touch" 2 pc barrels which have an even longer control bore. Sure they are great though.

Anyone know where to pick up the Freak Jr Kit (barrel + 3 inserts) but in colors other than black? ANSGEAR has it but it's only in black.
I know i can pick up the barrel and inserts separately but that would be more expensive

It only comes in black now, but if you contact GoGpaintball.com, you can actually custom order the sizes of inserts you want. Anywhere else you will get all the large inserts which kind of defeats owning an insert kit with todays smaller paint.

If you do look at 1 pieces the Lurker Eigenbarrel is probably the best out there. I have my Disruptive DT on the way with .678 and .686 backs to try as well to compare with my Lurker. The Disruptive and Lurker are definitely known as being some of the quietest barrels out there if that affects your decision at all.
