Ninja Tank Help

Hey gals and guys, new member, first post. I purchased a Ninja 4500/50cu in tank in 2009 brand new and have been using it without issue since. Unfortunately, I recently got the tank filled to 4000psi without incident, but when I got home, 20mins later, there was a huge crack in the resin 3/4 of the way around the tank and all the way down to the carbon fiber. Not really sure what happened since I have filled the tank to 4500 psi on several occassions. If anyone has any suggestions or similar expierences I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully this pictures link works.

Drain the tank immediately and contact ninja.
Be ready to send them in pictures and your information. Your tank is going to have to be sent in an swapped out.

Thanks for all of the quick replies. And don't worry, as soon as I noticed the crack I depressurized the tank. Here are a couple more pictures of the tank, the crack spands over 3/4 of the way around the tank.

Thats just clear coat, I had this happen to me too. I bought one of the first "Ninja" tanks (they have made tanks under other names) and had this problem as well, but ran the tanks for months without issue. Mine started to get bigger over time so I called them about it, but they reassured me its just clear coat, but they replaced it for me anyways.

Thats Ninja C.S. for you.

OLD FEEDBACK!

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

Shooting you a PM, I will have you send that tank in and I will get a brand new bottle put on there for you also will get you another 5 years on your hydro. It won't be one of the cool Ninja cursive font bottles though, we did those in 09 and they were one of the first batches, really cool. Like other people in this post have said, the tank is still 100% safe to use as long as no fibers are frayed our sticking out, that is just a flaw in the gelcoat but we will replace it for you free of charge anyways. Check your PM's

Unless you have the LP spring, I would recommend high pressure. You might want to try and output pressure around 650psi and see if you can use mid-pressure though. remove one red shim and leave the rest inside your UL reg. Go to the chrono, chrono the marker and as long as you chrono at the speed you need to be at and dont get shootdown under rapid fire, even with long strings, then you know that pressure willl work fine. If you experience any issues, then you may want to drop the red shim you pulled out to drop it to 650psi back in.

It's an issue with the manufacturer of the bottles applying a lacquer coating that cures too hard.
The tanks expand and contract as they're filled and emptied of air. Too hard of a coating does not allow it to stretch and expand, this leads to the cracking of the clear coat. Too soft and the layer is extremely tacky and doesn't have the proper strength. It's a balancing act of applying the coat and curing it with the proper temperatures and times.
GA and PE tanks have also experienced this issue and there are batches that are exposed to the manufacturing fault. So it's not directly the fault of the paintball company, simply who ever is manufacturing the cylinder.
