Hey MacDev gurus! I need your help.

I just received my Violent Series trigger for my new Clone GT. It's incredibly smooth and I swear by these triggers. I tried installing the magnets to no avail so reverted back to the stock trigger spring. Upon cycling the gun (no air) in unlimited semi & eyes off, there was insane trigger bounce. I could fire 29.8bps according to the bps display with ease. I then noticed that the microswitch now had a detent where it would fire twice when depressed. I popped the stock trigger back in with the same effect. Adjusted mechanical debounce and the trigger activation screw with no effect. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

Also, I managed to pull the black solenoid wire out of the connector with practically no effort. I ghetto crimped it back into the connector contact and it still works. Has this happened to anyone else?

For you trigger bouncing issue try running debounce in the board settings all the way up then slowly come back down until you have bounce in the trigger. Once you start to see bounce I would go back up a full MS.

What seems to be the issue of not being able to use the magnets?


Pulling the wire out haven't seen unless someone was pulling on the wire not the plug. Best to use a oring pic to pop up the plug then remove from the port.

Just tried every single debounce setting. Same results. I'm pretty confident that it's a faulty microswitch.

The violent trigger came with there small diameter barrel magnets and I couldn't get it to stick into the spring cutout in the trigger frame with any type of super glue. I don't want to use epoxy or putty. I'm happy with the spring for this setup.

I went back and recrimped the black wire so that's all good. I initially popped the connector out of the socket, but it got snagged as the entire socket pulled out and the black wire pulled out.

Don't think it's a bad micro switch, mine was doing the same thing once installed I just had to play with settings and adjustments go he trigger activation to get it to stop bouncing so much.

That's the thing though. I've tried every combo or trigger adjustment screw position, debounce, mech debounce, etc. I can always duplicate the 2 shots when the microswitch is activated. It happens when I depress it slowly or quickly. It happens when I press it with an allen key or other object.

If you install the stock trigger are you getting the same results in the debounce and double firing from 1 pull?

Yes, it's happening with the stock trigger too. Double shot on the pull, nothing on the release.

I would contact service warranty center closest to you.
One in Florida and one in Washington.
I'm not set up just yet to take in repairs till parts kit arrives.

I sent an email to support@macdev.net. Still waiting for a response. I'll give them a call later. What's your ETA on parts? Should I try to reflash the board with v2.0?

Just flashed the board with v2.0 and it appears to have fixed the problem. I only ever had it on semi unlimited. It somehow got into a weird mode/state. I'd still like to get a warranty replacement if possible. Thanks for your help.

If flashing the board has fixed the issue then a replacement is not needed.

Update, james said kits are shipping Monday, Tuesday. So I'm guessing about a week after that.

I'm having the same issue. I posted about it. Then found this thread. How do you "flash" the board? I'm not familiar with that.

You can download the software from here, and there are instructions as well:

You just want to install the clone full function 2.0 software when choosing.

Well the flash didn't help. It must be the magnet messing with the micro switch lever. Had to turn the triggers magnet tension screw in far enough to neutralize the effect that the magnet had on the switch. Problem still exists but only appears once in a while like a trigger bounce.
