Yes, Twan was coaching for The Mob last Sunday. You just can't have a rostered player coaching for a different team in the same division.

Q - that's not coaching - that's cheering
But Chief answered the question correctly - if you're talking about the person in the coach's box on the field - they can't be a player from another team in your division.

Coaching from the top is better anyway.
I really don't get why we can't coach/pit for teams in the same division though. It makes no sense. Especially considering put help usually comes from other players. Who else is playing but your division?

My only real concern is the potential for the coaching to get "ugly" - meaning you ask someone to help you and they screw you over - intentionally or otherwise. I guess your pit help could be putting quarters in your loaders, but at least then you'd be making some money.
What if the person you asked really needed you to lose in order for them to make playoffs...
Maybe I'm just being way to concerned about something I should be, but that's how my mind was working when I made that ruling.

Well Dave to that I say we really could have used United losing yesterday but we coached for them to a win in their second match anyway(as they coached us to a win in our second)
I think you're just thinking too much into it, as I don't think anyone is asking random kids from other teams. It tends to be friends playing on other teams.
I understand where you're coming from though.

players will do whatever it takes to win. rules are there to ensure consistent and fair gameplay. where there is a loophole in the rulebook, SOMEONE will exploit it. I think it's a good rule.

In an intensely competitive environment particularly with prizes/cash on the line I think being overly cautious is a good starting point.

better to have it on the books and be lax about it than to not have any rules in place to fall back on. Look at the Millennium Series.............
