Homemade Airow Gun

All of you have probably seen the new airow gun, that attaches to a bow, and can fire paintballs at speeds of 250 fps to 300fps, so i decided to make a diagram, to show how i am going to make my own.

I''ll make the barrel out of brass, and the pump tube out of aluminum

You would be suprised how easy it is to make one of these, they are definentely not worth the 250 some dollars that the stupid company is selling them for, you could probably do this for a max of about $120.
Oh and by the way, are you planning on using macroline? This would make sense because it would shave a heck of a lot of weight off the gun

Be sure to post some pics of the finished project!

macro isn't going to flow well enough at that low of a pressure to get any kind of velocity. pick up some reinforced rubber tubing and some hose clamps or some 5/16"ish copper tubing and fittings and try that. it's like this: imagine blowing a paintball out of a barrel with a coffee stirrer. not too easy, because the volume behind the ball is limited by the flow of the stirrer. now try with just your mouth on the barrel. way easier. of course, you want to find a happy medium, which is why i suggested 5/16" or so. too big and you lose all your pressure due to the large volume, too small and you don't get any flow. i'd recommend rubber tubing until you find the size that works best (it's cheap), then replace it with copper for looks and durability.

id like to do this using just a heavy spring rather than a bow.
much like a spring fired airsoft gun.

I say:

Hook it up to propane like the C3 and the plunger can suck the propane out the tank.

The air can be held in that chamber, so as you release the bow, a high tension spring can quickly compress the propane, heating it (which further compresses it) and then after a certain point in the return cycle (after you release) it can just blow all that air through a bolt, which is also attached to the plunger in the lower tube via bolt pin externally (to prevent any leakage).

Then the bolt could have a seriously soft face on it. Prevent chops and the ball from breaking since the bolt will hit the ball with some serious speed and no air until it nears the end of its full return for maximum power from the propane or whatever air source you use.

If it can use HPA, then just hook that **** up to a 22ci.

Should account for a good pod's worth of shots.

I'd love to use an airow gun on a speedball field just for fun. Let us know how the build goes!

the image doesn't work, could you reupload? I'm thinking about making myself one of these as well. Thanks!

Epiphany!!!! Use a bike hand pump, disassemble so it's just the handle, shaft, and the actual pump. Take off the handle and foot rest thing, so it's just a tube with a metal rod. Drill out the outlet so it's wider, and there you go! Just get a bow and find a way to mount
