I have a 2k2 im having a couple problems with. Shoots strong but after about 20 yards the ball takes hard curves down, either left or right. Also, if i rapid fire, it loses pressure and after the 6th shot the ball doesnt make it 10 ft then the bolt stays foward. After only a couple seconds it will push the bolt back again. helP??

So there's pressure issues in your marker.

Start by taking your HPR off the marker. Assuming it's a torpedo regulator, open it up, and replace the o-ring on the piston. Then get remove the reg seat and replace the o-ring on it and replace the pin valve and the o-ring on the pin valve. While you have it open, remove the spring and check for damage/scoring on the regulator wall. If you feel grooves, the spring/piston may be getting hung up in the groove causing pressure issues.

Now, go into your LPR, and replace the o-rings, pin valve and reg seat there...as well as the o-rings on the pin valve and reg seat. Replace the o-rings on the back of the LPR sealing it with the body.

Replace the 004 poppet o-ring and check for anything clogging the ram sleeve.

Now, look in your hose lines for any clogs in there. (Hair, lint, excess lube, etc.).

How old is your solenoid? Do you think it might be dying?

Also, some tank pin valves don't like to be pushed it too far, so a quick test would be to swap out tanks or turn the ASA know a bit and see if it helps. This sounds a bit more severe then when I've seen other pin valve related shoot down issues, but it's easy enough to try.

I've got an old torpedo with this issue - can you just lightly sand/polish out the groove, or is the reg body shot out?

In my experience, the reg is pretty shot. Used regs are pretty cheap at this point so a new one isn't a significant expenditure of cash.

To avoid this in the future be sure to grind and polish the sharp ends of Torpedo Springs and your regs will last a lifetime.

If you can get ahold of them, the older orange springs tend to be the best at not tearing up your reg walls.

So I have an older Alias that just started exhibiting these problems.

It's def. not the inline reg. Shoots down with original torpedo, a like new CP and a 360.

Cleaned, inspected and replaced orings in the lpr. Still shooting down.

Lpr drops basically to zero and the bolt is extremely slow to cycle.

Solenoid? Is there a way to test a solenoid? Pressing the button it cycles fine... I've got many Timmys laying around.. I suppose I could try a different solenoid to know for sure, but thought I would ask before tearing apart 2 guns... That's alot of work for a guess ;-)

Ideas?

Sounds like a LPR issue. Most dying Noids consistently sputter, shoot down is usually a function of the LPR, HPR or ASA not letting enough air in. Check your LPR orings and reg seat, especially the pin valve.

Ive changed the lpr piston orings twice. Just removed the pin valve and inspected the seat. No grooves or visible damage. Don't have one to replace it with unfortunately.

And now I find all my tanks are empty....
