anyone with experience rebuilding a b2k4.

hi.

as the title says. i'm wondering if anyone has experience rebuilding these guns?
i have recently gotten a b2k4 and imho i think it looks kick-*** and i need to rebuild it so i know it will be okay. it havent been used by the owner for a couple of years.

could anyone do a quick write-up of how to do this?
(have searched, but i did not find anything.)

well, they are pretty simple. take everything apart, check for nicked or bad orings, clean off old lube and reassemble. also, unless you know specifically that there is a problem area, you can always just air it up and see what you have. i do that all the time, helps to know what you're dealing with. they are robust enough that they can take a lot of abuse and still work. so, zero out the LPR and HPR. turn up the HPR to about 200psi, if you have a HPR gauge(you will have to further adjust up or down for velocity), and then turn up the LPR till the bolt kicks back, then a quarter turn more.

but, it also helps if you have pics. not only do we like looking at gun porn, but it will help with id'ing parts that aren't stock.

Haven't been on here to check replies for some time.
But I was also lacking some parts I needed.
Got some of them from JTPimp and the rest from Vegard

I have found 2 leaks.

#1 Front of gun - Fixed, missing O-ring on VASA
#2 Rear of gun inside tray - working on it, Noid gasket seems to be damaged as it has expanded on one side, leaving an egg shaped gasket hole.

As for leak #2, i believe i need a new gasket for it, i could attempt to make one, but it won't be pretty

Other Faults
#1 Stock 9300 board
#2 Broken eye wire - not a big problem as it only was the soldering on the on/off that broke.

Parts i needed previously
#1 ASA - Got a Shocktech Drop with on/off ASA from Vegard
#2 Barrel - J&J Ceramic barrel, also from Vegard
#3 Gauge for the VASA - Gotten from JTPimp
#4 Hpr - the original had som stripped screws, got a Bob Long Torpedo From JTpimp
#5 Spare parts - Gotten from JTPimp

And to the porn, if it can be considered so.

Bolt, Ram, Spare ram, Vasa, old Hpr, ST plunger for lpr, some O-rings

now there are pics. looks good. i have 2 of that same colour. if it was a Parker noid, i have spare gaskets, but no spares of HEAs. they have popped up on ebay before so you can check there for one, or pester Airsoldier.com for one.

this is what it should look like i gather http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AOS&Product_Co de=HUM-HEA-GASKETSCREW&Category_Code=SOLENOIDS
and this is what it looks like now almost http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AOS&Product_Co de=SKIN-GASKET&Category_Code=SOLENOIDS

also, you can air it up without the tray on it, to pinpoint the leak if it is the gasket. the noid should be on finger tight anything more is too much.

though, the limited settings on the 9300 board suck in fine tuning, don't knock it. the one good thing is that if it works, its one thing you don't have to worry about your settings causing a problem. i like them, but i have trouble tuning a gun through the board.

but enjoy it, when its working properly. they are fun guns that got over looked in the early 2000's gun race.

it's been frequently aired up to check for leaks this week-end, and i know the noid leaks from the gasket.
there is an example link on how it approximately looks now.
only downside, i broke an eye-wire doing it, will be resoldered within the week

wasn't sure if you narrowed down the leak to that. sometimes, the gasket is fine, and its a manifold oring that is leaking. well, when you have the gun settled, i would suggest that you contact me, as i do make new harnesses, including new eye sets(and with "Lasers") so you can keep up with all the other guns with coloured "breeches".
