In case you missed our announcement, our next event (Event #4) is going to be held in downtown Salem, OR (August 25th-26th)! We've been working with the city for the last few months to get the city codes changed that would have otherwise prohibited a paintball event from occuring. We'll be bringing in two portable netted fields being shipped from PSP, with the fields being located on the plush soccer fields of Wallace Marine Park where spectators will be able to watch the action from the walkway bridge that overlooks the fields! Staging will be within the nice gravel parking lot with plenty of shade trees to keep the teams out of the heat while also allowing plenty of space for vendor booths. We're super excited for this opportunity to bring to the Northwest paintball community a very sweet venue with the added bonus for tons of spectators to view the competion with the hope that this could become an annual event location.
With that said, we want to be upfront with everyone to plan to budget for this event because there's going to be a lot more added expense in order for this event to occur. The increase cost per player will be somewhere around an added $50. Before you let that scare you, know that we need your guys's support and we are asking you guys to help be behind us in our efforts to promote the sport by bringing it to the attention of the public (we'd love to have some Billboards around town to advertise for the event)! We understand that money is tight for many, but one way to look at it is there's about a month and a half to stash away $10 a week (i.e turn-down that juicy hamburger from your favorite restuarant and save the money instead!
) In all serious, we do need your support to make this event a go. Please consider planning to play in the event, and you can count on us for making every effort for this event to be a big hit.
