If you have good lighting, I'd prefer a 70-200 with a 1.4x rather than a 300. 20mm difference is hardly anything, and the extra stop of light isn't needed during the day.

Yeah but you loose quality with the 1.4x.
I don't know anyone who, if had the option, would pick a 70-200 over a 300 2.8 for field sports.

I would.. lol
and yes, you lose quality, it's very miniscule. you lose focusing speed as well, but you have a zoom rather than a prime which to me, is so much easier to shoot with.

.

Field sports (football, soccer, rugby, etc) are completely different than paintball and you have more room to set up for a shot since it's wide open compared to a 170x125 field or however big PSP fields are.

Printing company.

http://whcc.com/

They do their printing services through a program that you run through your computer. Really simple process. As far as pricing goes, I'd talk to Jimmy or someone that's sold prints to people before.

All taken with 70-200, it can be done, wouldn't recommend it though.

It's not easier to shoot with. And until you consistently shoot with both I think it's rather unfair to say it is easier. It's actually harder. That's not saying a 70-200 or wide shots don't have their place, but you can't reach with shots. You can still get awesome action packed shots, but I think you miss more shots not having the addition length than you think.

In football you are missing about almost 5-10 yards on 30% of the field because of players and coaches and you can't stand there.

A normal rugby pitch is much larger than a kid's soccer one. Just saying.

I'm sure there's a learning curve when shooting with a 300, but I felt very limited the times i've used a 300 to shoot soccer. I got pretty much no keepers as the players would quickly run into the frame, then get too close, and not being able to zoom out meant the action was now too close to shoot.

Well yeah it's a learning curve, and if you don't put in the time to learn then it's going to give you zero value. All that you just mentioned is on the user knowing the lens, and sport.

Seems an awful lot like an updated 5DII. DP review says it's a new sensor and a Digic 5 processor and stuffs in wifi and gps, but it's only got a single cross AF and stores on SD cards. There was a leaked price of $2100, so it's not competing with the 5DIII at all but may be useful as a backup. It's going to be attractive to some people that were looking to go full-frame with a 5DII, but I personally would save the cash and get the older body.

With GPS it sounds like they're going after the nikon market for guys who couldn't afford the D800..unless it's just me that finds that most nikon shooters seem to be more photojornalist/landscape/nature shooters
