Those are actually the Vibram Five Fingers. The Skeletoes are the imitations made by Fila. Tried both on. The Vibram's are far far better

If you already have cleats from playing another sport, I would just use those. I use my old lacrosse cleats to play in.

I prefer track shoes with golf spikes (the round ones) for turf. Cleats are better for dirt or real grass. I see tons of people use cleats on turf and they are actually giving themselves less traction than shoes would.

The most common cleats you can find are soccer, baseball, and football.
Soccer and baseball cleats are very similar, except that soccer are typically lighter, and baseball are somewhat more durable and they have a toe cleat.
Football and baseball cleats are also similar, but the biggest difference is that football cleats are usually taller for better ankle support.
All three types are starting to borrow ideas from one another, and some can be used for all three. I find baseball and football cleats to be a bit more ideal for paintball since they're both designed for start/stop type of play. If you like the lightweight feel of soccer cleats, then I would look for a "baseball/soccer hybrid" type of cleat.
