Folks here don't much care for them either. I wouldn't mind it because I don't store anything I can't replace on my primary drives.

That's good to hear

I guess I'm going to try to OC this i5-3570k a little bit. Right now I have my 570 classified at 1100Mhz (gpu clock) and 2195Mhz (memory clock) and it's running very well. That's the only PC overclocking I've done though

I figure it will be fun to try as long as I'm careful.

I'm going to do a much better job of wiring this time. I'm hoping the modular PSU helps out

Even if you can't get a stable clock on your own, those AsRock Extreme boards have presets in the bios.

Are they OC presets? Will they work with an i5-3570k?

Also, amazon has the i5-3570k for $215

My piece of crap Biostar board HAS overclocking features in the BIOS, but if you change them then it throws an error on boot up and forces them to default. Luckily the boards chipset is by Nvidia and I can use nTune and overclock on the fly.

Wow that's awesome! 4.2 is perfect, at least until I upgrade from a hyper 212 +.

Just do some reading and overclock manually, it isn't hard, you're not going to break anything. The presets grossly overestimate the voltages required.

I'm familiar with how to do it, but I'm not too motivated to do it. I just want to try it out sometime.

God damnit I hate you all so much.

I can't figure out how to get my Q9450 stable past 3.0 Ghz for the life of me. I had to change memory timings, CPU VTT voltage, North Bridge voltage, etc. just to get it to 3.0.

True, but you can add to if, of course. I might end up doing this actually.

I would do it if I had more than one monitor.

Speaking of which, newegg has a pretty sweet Asus 23.6" 1080p nvidia 3D LED monitor for $200. Too much want, not enough money.

I need a bigger monitor, money just won't allow it. Using some cheap $100 20" Acer and a old 19" dell.

I've got a 23" hannspree 1080p LED monitor that I got for $120 at CompUSA. It does the job
