I have an odd question, say If I had one PC with a wireless card and is connected to the internet, could I use an ethernet cord connecting that PC and another PC that isn't connected to the internet together. Would the second PC have connection to the internet at that point? Is there anything similar to this to connect said second PC to the internet?

Yeah I used to do that with my desktop and laptop when my wireless card is in the mail, use ICS and you should be fine.

I used to do this to route interbutts to my Xbox when the router wasn't within ethernet reach, lolz. You just have to set the first computer to share its internet connection.

Does anyone have any $1000-1500 builds made up? My buddy is looking to build a computer and I told him I'd help out, problem is I haven't been in the market in years so I honestly don't know what's hit or miss right now. Mainly going to be used for auto CAD and some gaming.

The price also needs to include OS, keyboard, monter, etc. but I can probably pick those out but feel free to add it.

Im working on my first build, and i think i have decided on what im going to buy. Im wondering what your thoughts are about the mother board, a couple other questions about the motherboard are: Can I run the ssd and the mechanical hard drive? Do my RAM and CPU work with this motherboard? Thats all the questions ive got. I would really appreciate as many opinions as you guys can give me! thanks.

I'd drop the 3770k and go 3570k, use that money in pursuit of an SSD and may a 2x8gb memory kit in case he wants to get more later (CAD is pretty memory heavy I believe).

I'd wait on the GPU portion till the 660TI is out this month (hopefully).

It will beat the 570 for the same cost/less power heat.

Otherwise everything else you have decided on looks solid.

I picked up the GTX 570 instead of the GTX 680 because none of the games I play would require a better graphics card, and in the future I can always add another for a cheap and decent SLI setup.

I am curious as to what PS I should get for this thing though, my current one is a 300W which I don't think will cut it...I want to get a 600W-750W.

Is there anything bad that will happen if I attempt to use the card for a couple days on my 300W PS while I wait for the bigger one to come in?

What should I look for in the specs to make sure it is compatible with my tower and my new GTX 570?

Thanks!
