Unhappy Can't remove one eye cover :(

So the hole where the allen key goes in is stripped... its almost a circle rather than a hexagon.

Any decent ideas without messing up with the eyes and the wires?

Thank You

If you have a dremel carefully cut a flat groove in it. Then use a flat head screw driver to remove and re install.

If you don't then best bet would be getting a bit from a hardware store that is meant for removing stripped/broken screws. Usually two sided, one you run to smooth the inside out. Flip the bit and in reverse with the drill it will grab on. With this method you will have to get a replacement screw. Not hard though, just take the good one to the hardware store and they will have some that should be the right size and thread to match.

You could also use loctite to glue the allen key to the screw, unscrew it, and then use a hair dryer to loosen the loctite so you can remove the allen key. It isn't a permanent fix and it is tedious but it is an option.
