Paying for it yourself doesn't help at all. If your parents say no the answer is no. Just practice and join a team when you get a little older. Play in some local tournaments. The last thing you wanna do is piss off your parents because they know whats best for you... I learned the hard way

Nope, up to 1000/month is right if you are playing with a serious team. 1 case every practice, two for scrimmages. Scrimmage once a month, $250 depending on where you live. If you are playing PSP, then you pitch in ~$50-$100 every week, so another $200-$400 bucks, not to mention equipment and and travel. So $1000/month is a good idea of what to plan for.

Wrong ..1st off Most serious teams have sponsors. So there gear is extremely low prices.
If there sponsored by there regular field there's there paint so take away paint money and half the gear money. Travel most smaller teams will rent a van and drive. Which isn't bad they all pitch in towards rental. So there's travel.if they fly they pay for themselves I'm sure but who has a event every month? Overall the cost is not 1000 the most money you would pay if you a small non serious team is 100 a month for team dues for paint... Events stuff like that

Pay for it yourself. Neighborhood jobs, chores for parents. Make it so your parents get something out of it.

Just like he was, you're wrong too.

More serious teams are made up of entirely or mostly adults or late teens. People with jobs, unless you're at a d1 or pro level sponsorship is just a discount and doesn't help much.

You're also forgetting tournament entry fees, which adds up quickly. Serious teams have a budget for the team, not individuals.

Biggest piece of advice. If you're a younger team... you don't have to practice twice a week, or once every weekend for that matter. As long as you make each practice count and have all members there.
