3.1 Soft Nose vs Stock

I know that you're only supposed to use the soft nose bolt in cold weather, tournaments, or whenever you're using old paint, but does it really matter that much? Can I just throw it in and use it, even if I'm shooting like Spectrum? Or should I stick with stock?

i shoot everything from G.I. 4/5 Star at tourneys, and 1 Star for practice, and it shoots the same. I've only had mine for about 2 months now, so i couldnt tell you about cold weather, but you should be fine for now just leaving your stock bolt in. i know one of the guys have the soft tip bolt in and our guns shoot right about the same

I just stick with the stock bolt. never had any issues with it and I shoot a variety of different paint.

I like the sound signature of the soft tip over the stock bolt. Dont really notice a difference in efficiency or consistency. Still getting 9-10 pods on a 68.

I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to have more control of my shot with the stock bolt versus the soft tip bolt.

With the standard bolt, I feel that I'm able to get my lanes and shots on point (more accurate) easier than I can with the soft tip bolt. I just don't feel as I have as much control over my shot using the soft tip bolt is my point with all other variables the same (paint, weather, distance, etc...).

The bolts won't differ in accuracy, it's all in your head. Now maybe consistency, but only maybe due to oring fitment or something.

My teammate feels the same way. The shot and feel are different between the bolts. I have a harder time pinpointing my shot with the soft tip bolt that's not mental, it's physical. However, that's my experience. ((((Shrugs))))
