187 Crew Draw for Chicago
After some quick math it looks like 187 will play
Ironmen
Damage
Xfactor
Dynasty
with the other team in the draw being aftershock (maybe a good thing shock plays well in there home town and at cup every year.)
Once again the harder of the two draws in my opinion
the other draw being
heat
rus
la infamous
thunder
visc
cep
A hard draw but 187 has a good history in chicago. I still stand by my prediction of 2 sundays with 1 semi or final and somewhere between a 6th to 9th overall by the end of the year.
(To give some history rookie pro teams in the last 5 years in psp have only got higher then 7th once (4th by impact) and only made semis 5 rookie teams have made semis.)
Thoughts from others? predictions for how they will fair for the rest of the year?

Karl - i'm not 100% sure yet but I think Infamous and Dynasty might be switched.

Honestly, those both could be hard brackets.

Both tough brackets but 187 can handle it

There are no easy brackets.
If these last 2 events showed anything, it is that anything can happen at this level. There is a reason all these teams are playing Pro.
One thing we can promise is that we will always work and compete 100%.
No team is going to be easy on us so we need to make sure we aren't easy for them.

If you guys play like its Sunday every day , as you did this past event, you 'll make Sunday. You guys are my new favorite team to watch.
Lots of respect and admiration to the whole team.
Best of luck in Chicago.

Not to steal any of upton's thunder. But didn't X-factor,aftermath, and damage make it to the top 4 in their first season?

Sure, but were any of those teams sheerly "rookies"? No dodgy I'm just too lazy right now to look.

There should be no comparison.
X-factor was full of guys who got cherry-picked (Cohen brothers and Infamous) before they went pro. Plus they had 1 1/2 years in D1. Aftermath is literally bred in the biggest paintball area in the world, Socal, and most of them grew up playing Dynasty every weekend/had an ex-Dynasty player as their coach/owner. Some of those Aftermath guys got cherry picked before they made the jump too. Damage is another team that was made up of ex-Pros (Carthy, Propst, Holliday are all ex-Strange players, who had been playing in the NXL for years), that picked up some young raw players and just grinded it out every weekend. They have just remained good in that period even though many of these guys are retiring/on their way out.
I'm not taking anything away from these teams, because they all put in the work to get to where they are today. But trying to compare these teams to 187 is just wrong. Besides a few Hurricanes in the AXBL days, Upton has been all divisional players. None of them went on to play for various established pro teams before coming back to make the jump to pro. And you named 3 teams that can practice all-year round and have great practices with other pro-teams. When you have a home-grown team like 187, its something special, especially with the disadvantages of calling New England your home. Heck, even the Hurricanes in their prime could go to New Jersey area and play some good 7 man teams, but now the closest pro team is CEP or Damage.
