I recently bought a used stabilizer and I've been experiencing psi problems.
I've disassembled the reg and oiled it but it still doesn't work. Whenever I gas it up it just goes straight to 700+ psi even with the adjuster screw all the way out. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks
First and foremost...you lower pressure with a Stabilizer by turning the screw out.
Could very well be that you are in need of a rebuild kit. How did the o-rings look?
hey cf are you sure that turning the screw in (clockwise) will reduce the pressure? I'm pretty sure that you need to unscrew it (counter clockwise) to reduce the pressure.
and i already bought a rebuild kit. the orings were messed up before but that's all fixed. i also oiled all the oring parts. the reg doesn't leak. it just doesn't regulate. which is what its made to do!!
Not sure which model it is. but its male and it looks like the standard one. Lines are in correctly. gas flows through the reg into the marker but it isn't able to lower the pressure from 700+psi even with the velocity screw all the way out. (counter clockwise) I've checked all the orings, replaced broken ones, oiled them and cleaned the inside of the stabilizer. but it still doesn't regulate. someone please help me!!
Are you sure you have the hoses set up properly? One port on the reg is the input, the other is an output for a gauge. If you have them backwards you'll have straight tank pressure going to the gun.
