Just bought a Syndicate Paradox, Need help!

Ok so I just bought this Syndicate Paradox PGF off craigslist and I just need a little bit of help with it.

Number one is this gun any good? I know it's a bit older from some of my research.

Number two what does he mean by I should use a larger caliber paint. He said I'll chop balls if I use JT or RPS, is this true?

Thanks for all the help, and yes I'm somewhat of a noob at PB!

It's a spyder clone. I can't tell you much about the marker but I do like spyders. They are cheap but they hold up well and perform well, I've had my spyder for almost a decade and I still use it as a loaner.

As far as chopping balls I think he's confused. Spyders are really over-bored (this one might not be but I doubt it). He may have tried to use it with an electric hopper or maybe it has a messed up detent, not sure.

the chopping with smaller paint was probably due to him using a shake and bake hopper and no eyes

I could maybe see him having problems with RPS because it is very brittle paint. Generally Spyders or anything similar to one is going to be a bit rougher on paint than more expensive markers.
