So then wouldn't it just be a V2 can that's new? Like all the parts would just be V2 upgrades

I guess they could have done that....but I think the versions apply to the marker itself.....V2 has it's set upgraded parts...V3 has V2 updates plus another set of upgraded parts
so the V3 can is the 2nd version of the can but it's the can in the V3 Vapor

"Ok kids, heres the skinny on v3. Parts start shipping today. Here's a new plan from Machine.
1) Make sure your gun is registered on the Machine website, if you have an original v1 Vapor with no serial you need to send email to jay@machinepaintball.com to get it registered to you.
2) Send email to TECH@Machinepaintball.com with the subject line as "v3 parts", only thing you need in the body of the email is your name, the Vapor serial number and your shipping info.
3) We will reply to confirm we got your email, and ship out your stuff.
We had to modify the original plan because there are simply too many Vapors out there still registered to the old owner and have not had the registration updated by the new owner.
Remember patience is a virtue."

Straight off the Vapor Vendetta facebook group (and now on Machine's main page)
"Small teaser of the new diffraction limited photon etching multi color processing soon to be available from Machine."
(yes, that's a color-photo...black and grey vapor)
"Here's a different color combo of the new etched multi-color process."

I've been told they're finalizing small details and making sure it's dialed in.

Q: [question about loader info]
A: "Same skinny as it has been. We are still working on the loader to make sure its everything you expect it will be. Both in appearance and in performance. We will post up any new progress we make when the time comes. There is no crock here, but we will not release something that you will be sorry you waited for. Thanks for your patience."

Please help?
I have just today got a brand new Machine Vapor V3 and am having trouble changing modes on the fly. I have made sure tournament lock is off (tiny dip switch) and that all the firing modes are enabled. When the marker is switched on and in profile A (or any profile), if the power button (silver button) is pressed the marker beeps but nothing happens. The marker seems to be stuck in semi mode, the only way I have been able to change this is to set for example burst on and all other firing modes to off in profile A and turn on profile A, it will then start up in Burst but if I touch the power button is reverts back to semi and then gets stuck, every time I touch the power button and try to change the mode it just beeps but does nothing. I have been trying to set a profile to have semi, burst and auto. When the profile is set, it simply goes into semi only and like I already mentioned just beeps if I try and push the power button to change the mode. I have also opened a second brand new marker that has never been turned on to see if it was a problem with my marker only but found this exact same thing to happen with the second gun! I have used two other older vapours in the past that just change modes as soon as you press the power button. All the other setting appear to work fine, the only problem is with changing firing modes on the fly, is there any other settings that might be locked that I am missing or is there a way to reset the board? Your help is much appreciated?

Never heard of that problem; I'd try a factory reset (it's under all of the set profile options) and then contact APE about it, as they designed the board.
