Lots of paint comes from Asia, so....$$$ added by manufacturer-->cost of shipping with rising fuel prices---->Kee gets it and makes their money---->cost of shipping to local store----->profit to be made by store adds more $$$. No one does this for free.
I made this thread to better understand the process of making paint and why a case of evil is $70 when the materials to make it cost about 20cents. I never claimed to know everything which is why I asked the question in the first place. Obviously this thread got out of hand and should be closed.

I would like to read over your source information that states material cost is $0.20. Could you proved a link?

If your don't like the price of paint either find a new field or starting making your own since it's so cheap to do..
100% true

And the proof is at psp event evil is sold at $35-40 a case so it's not their fault it's your fields

weird thing is in the east coast highest price ive paid for paint in 5 years was 90$ for some very good premium at walk on prices on avg pay about 50$ a case for bronze. i have heard of central canada paying upwards of 100$ for field grade..

anyways

but it's all about making money buddy, fields need to make money to stay afloat, ya ROFs are higher and greater volumes of paint are sold now but doesn't change the fact that people are trying to make money.

and as said before its not only paint that this happens with, other pball products, food, clothes, cars, houses etc. Everything around us money money money!!

My mother has a pharmD so she knows the price of chemicals that go into making paint capsules. I would also like to know where you came up with a 10k compressor. A high quality commercial air compressor should cost 5-6k and the maintenance is close to nothing if you take care of it and grease/oil after use. They also have a huge lifespan so if a field charges $10 per person they make their money back pretty fast.

But does that commercial air compressor your looking at output 4500 psi that is needed to fill a tank? Even still you have to pay for the electricity...

There's more to determining mfg cost than just the cost of raw materials.

To everyone that pays 70 and up for a case of paint god bless your soul.

Anything more than 50 a case and I'm going somewhere else for sure!

45/case with entry is great especially for a rec sport like ball!
