Inconsistent solenoid noise?

So I played with my etha this past weekend, shot great once I got it set.

Anyway I'm working on adjusting the trigger now and I'm noticing that more often than not I'm getting a dull thud instead of the normal loud click. When I shut the marker off, then back on the first 1 or 2 pulls get the (what I thought) loud sharp click noise. Afterwards it seems to be a much quieter dull thud.

I was just wondering if anyone's experienced this? Is it normal? Can someone explain what's happening if so?

Just hooked up a tank and while I can't rip on it in my apartment, it seemed to work just fine. I guess this is just something I don't know about 'noids?

probably just your battery getting a little low. eventually it will stop clicking entirely without air, and that's fine too

That's what I thought initially (and I'm using the battery I got with the marker), however when powering it up I get a green flash - which I think means the batteries good. Maybe I should try another.

Solenoid won't always click. Sometimes you'll hear it, but once you've played with the marker a while, say about 3-5 cases in, you probably won't hear it much after that.

As long as the marker fires when aired up, you're good to go.

Interesting, is there a particular reason for this? I'm assuming the 'noid gets worn in as it gets used, but what is actually not clicking anymore.

Just more curious than anything.

The noid is air assisted if your battery is at all below 100% you probably will not hear the clicking.

I've taken apart my share of PE 'noids...the clicking sound is the back-and-forth motion of the 'noid's poppet.

I have experienced this with Etha as well. It always shoots well with air but will not click at all otherwise. I was curious as well. My thought was that the noid shaft/poppit has to be positioned correctly to click. I think the air positions it correctly to work when gassed. I think anyways.

Hopefully this makes since, but Jack Wood explained this to me.

The Ethas solonoid is not liege previous geo/ego Soloinoids.

It is completely normal, that the Solonoid will not make a click, even with the eyes off.

This is becuase of the design of the solonoid, as it is able to run on super small amounts of air, and relies on the small amount of air for the solonoid to function.

So even tho your battery is showing green, your gun is going to perform as good as it ever will.
