Eh, the only thing I wish I had a board for was to keep track of my battery level better.

hush bolt hasn't been super effective for a good handful of people.

Nothing else is REALLY required. It's a SOLID platform.

I'm not crazy about the lp poppet personally. But a MUST have is a pressure tester with upgraded gauges.

But I WILL buy a Eigen valve system and a pooty bolt when/IF they are released.

I'd say SLP Ninja is worthwhile. I like all the ups I've put in mind tbh even if only a very very minor improvement.

So, update!

Gun shoots nice and smooth, but there seems to be some grease sputtering out above the trigger guard right below the eyes and up through the lower section of the crease and where the trigger guard meets the upper frame.

I stripped her down and cleaned off tons of excess lube and re-lubed (Split the front end and lubed all of the transfer plate o-rings again too). But, leak persists. It is more pronounced with the eye covers off.

It had the LP poppet installed by Blast when it was ordered. Think I may need to take the poppet out and clean it off and re-lube it, make sure its nice and snug on the cup seal?

Any advice would be great since I don't have access to call Blast during their tech hours due to my work schedule.

Thanks!

Question: why do the lines on the LPR side of the pressure tester only represent a difference of 8?

Just replace the guages with ashcroft guages and be done with it. Best thing you could do. Factory pressure tester guages are known to be rather inaccurate.

I think it may be one of the two small o-rings underneath the poppet chamber where the two halfs meet on the rear section. I'm going to try soaking them in dow 55 overnight and replacing them tomorrow to see if that works. Otherwise I'll just order o-rings and try that.

Would rather be able to fix it without sending it back to BLAST. ^.^

I would double check that your poppet is lubed properly improperly lubing the poppet will resulting leaking

Yeah, the delrin poppet face seemed pretty slick so I cleaned it down and just lubed the shaft and o-ring at the back.

Also, the large o-ring that connects the two halves (the vertical one, not the horizontal one above the grip frame) Is nicked a bit so I'm replacing that and testing again.

Update: Cleaned and re-lubed poppet and took off the tiny nick on that sealing oring and repositioned it a bit and no more leak! Well, as far as I can tell. I'll get a re-build kit on the way from oring monkey and replace it just to be safe. Should be good for a weekend of play, if not, I've got my Axe. :3

youll never use that axe again once you get the g6r the way it needs to be.

also, unless you need manifold orings, i like oring doctor more, its way cheaper for orings that arent the metric ones. oring doctor dosent igve you the metric ones, but the metric ones only wear out if you **** with em

I've seen so many problems with the factory gauges that I'd replace them as soon as you get them. I've put 2" Ashcrofts on my Pressure Tester and they're much more accurate than stock. The scary thing is how off some of the pressure testers were. One had a 40 psi variance (on the low side) out of the LPR. There's a big difference between 35 psi and 75 psi.

Im gonna disagree with that but only based on personal preference. I freaking love my Axe, I really think a used one for $300 or so is the best deal in paintball. I havnt upgraded a marker in years but I just ordered an eigen bolt for the Axe and Im super excited to see what impact it has on performance. My axe is a total killing machine and I <3 it.

Idk if a $300 eyesore is worth it lol. I would say that a nicely cared for Vice or maybe even a DM would be ahead on my list.

Ah, thanks! The oring I need (Or may need) is the main one around the poppet chamber where the two halves meet. Not sure if this is one of the manifold orings you were referring to. It is the one with the tiny nick in it that I've positioned in a way that it doesn't leak anymore, though I want to just replace it to avoid further issues down the road.

Also - can anyone point me to directions on how to replace the pressure tester guages? I know I need that teflon tape or whatever, but, I've never messed with anything along those lines.

Thanks!

I really love mine as well. Got it for 330 or so used with the nano feedneck, droppedin an XSV bolt and I've loved it so far. Wanted something a bit different that I can baby (axe is fairly beat up on the outside).

That and G6R's are just pure <3
