Did you mean:
1.) Air is blowing out of the marker?
2.) You Aired it up and nothing happened?

And then, did it cycle (were you able to dry-fire after you turned it on and turned the eyes off)?

The "Feather Touch" controls the exhaust which controls the speed in which the bolt travels

Also its probably in the thread somewhere, but I have a ninja tank with a stock ninja reg, I know you can take out shims in ninja regs to make it lower pressure, any suggestions on the proper way to set up my ninja tank for this gun?
Remove all the shims and you'll be just peachy

Did it chop with the stock bolt?
Did you swap out the o-rings with the ones that came with the Pooty Bolt?

Did you check to see if there is a Bolt in the Marker?

You need to further explain what is happening.

When you air it up it just leaks air out where the bolt should be?
When you air it up it is fine but sounds like a Vintage Black Powder Canon?

I think it controls how fast the air vents out the back of the marker by restricting the airflow. In turn the rate the air escapes effects the speed of the bolt to return to the ready position. Air escaping faster = bolt returning faster.

The guy whom I purchased it from had a Virtue Oled 1.5 board in it.
I installed a pooty flat faced bolt along with new orings for the bolt guide.
The vapor was set on psp mode 12.5 bps.
Dwell 12.5
eye delay 6ms
Anti bolt stick 2ms

I was using a Ninja tank with Spire loader.
I used three different types of paint and the gun was chopping non stop.
Any ideas on how to get it to stop chopping paint so bad?

It probably has nothing to do with the gun if it isn't leaking and seems to be at normal 180ish psi operating pressure. When you unscrew your reg is the top part of it black or silver? I chopped like a sushi chef last weekend with mine, and then came home put in different tourny grade paint i store well in my 70 degree home and didn't chop a ball. But overbore a bit in cold weather to avoid barrel breaks so if paint needs a slight blow to get out of a .685 bore i would go up to a .689 at least or until all the balls roll through. then don't readjust velocity up to 300, you may only shoot 285 now with a bigger bore but it will be less harsh on paint. But 90% of it is how the field and you stored the paint. was it cold outside? is it climate controlled? Are you at Weber's in Waco? i am not sure how they store there paint but when i was there for a tourny they had a giant stack of it on the tile floor in front of the store and my guess is that tile gets pretty cold on a weekend like the last one. Try again with different paint from a different store that you know was stored properly and see if it continues. In winter (and even hot texas summers) the problems are usually not with the markers as much as they are with the handling of the paint.

I went and lowered my psi output of my tank down to 450. I relubed everything. Went to a different store and purchased a bag of tourny grade paint.
Now my vapor shoots tits. Only problem I'm having is the typical over tighting reg and it sitting crooked.

Hey guys. I'm not an expert (yet soon to be mastertech taught by the designer himself) but here's some tips that keep our guns crispy.

Feathermod adjustment:
We run our Vapors 1 of 2 ways,
Feathermod closed
&
Feathermod flush with back of marker.
Now these settings are pretty different.
Closed settings are as follows:
Dwell 11ms
Bolt return 25ms
Breech delay 12 (regardless I run this both settings)
Eye mode: std
This is our brittle paint settings. This is more poppit style so to speak.

The other is fm flush
Dwell 16ms
Bolt return 35ms
Breech delay 12ms
Eye mode std

These are settings passed on to me by Bryon Benini.

We've played 6 straight weekend's. Had one horrendous day due to paint freezing. I can literally say we have had zero problems.

I'm just sending it back to Machine and having a stock board put back in it and having them tech/tune it.

Hello. I saw this post and had a few questions that came to mind. I'm not meaning to be rude by questioning what you say, I just want to learn more!

1.
Regarding the first "mode": You say that this is the "brittle paint mode" and you're running a low dwell. Why is that?

I thought, the longer dwell you run, the more air will be venting out the barrel and the less force the bolt actually has to push the ball. And I guess that the air is softer than the bolt.

2. I'm under the impression that the lower the dwell, the more efficient the gun becomes. So mode number 1 is (in my eyes) more efficient and softer on paint.

What is the pros of mode number two then?

3. Dose a higher dwell mean a smoother and louder shot?

I can't speak for him, as those "modes" are foreign to me, however, note that the vapor has an efficiency valve at the back of the marker (it can be accessed by taking off the back cap. See the breakdown in my sig). Because of this, there is negligible FPS variance when the shot chamber has been fully emptied (as it will not re-fill mid shot)

In other words, If my marker fires completely at 11ms (and empties the shot chamber completely), I could run a 20ms dwell with no noticeable difference in velocity (because the chamber empties in 11ms, the bolt is just sitting forward for another 9ms....just doing nothing...)

Now, he may have found a sweet-spot for his particular marker at 11ms, but I know that my marker tends to like 12ms +2abs for cold weather. It really depends upon your particular vapor.

**edit**

as for soft paint settings: I like 12-13ms dwell, +2 abs, tightbore 1piece, and that FT screw about 3/4 of the way closed
