I've heard from various people that the gun works best w/an lp tank. How would it work with (if at all) an slp reg?

works really well with an SLP reg. the bolt operates at less than 180 PSI so as long as your tank is outputting over 200 you're golden.

I haven't had a problem with my Asa pin assembly yet, but won't to make sure I don't have a problem. I know machine now puts in two orings, but what I don't know is the size. Any help?

there should be one inside and one outside.....2 outside would be cool, but completely unnecessary
006 inside, 010 outside
here's a free sizing chart from OringMonkey so you guys can size orings for yourself:

Sorry I must have not been clear. The outside oring that causes the pin assembly to fall out because it's too loose. They have replaced the outside oring with two now I believe. Just curious to what size the new ones are.

Ah, gotcha. All I can tell you is that 'single oring' version uses a 010 oring that fits snugly. Unless they change the outer diameter of the pin assembly as well as the inner bore of the asa, it will be two 010 orings.

Twigz, I'm not 100% sure, but I think Machine will send you a new pin if you ask.

I sent them an email this morning. I'll let everyone know what happens. They have been great so far, so I'd image they will be with this too.

If my Math is as good as my shooting then
we should get about 7 pod out of a 45ci/4500psi tank or approx 1000 rounds.

here's my calculation for 68/45s

~2600 - 160PSI (operating pressure estimate?) = 2440/850 = 2.87 PSI lost per shot.
~4500 - 160PSI OP = 4340 usable PSI
~4340 usable psi/2.87 psi per shot = 1512 shots.
~1512 shots / 130 shots per pod = 11.6 pods
|
I'd be willing to bet psi per shot would be about 3.8 so....
~4340/3.8 = 1142
~1142 / 130 = 8.78 pods
I'd call it 7-8 pods accounting for error, chill and my estimate of PSI lost.

Hmm... I can't remember the exact amount, but a user on here took pictures of his luxe weight compared to the vapor and it was around 2.2 oz lighter.

Is this new pin a different pin or is it the exact same pin, just a replacement? I don't have any problems with my pin falling out however, I noticed that if I shake my Vapor without the tank on I can see the pin assembly back out a bit.

I think it's an updated pin. I emailed ken or at machine and it sounds like they are sending out a new one.

Yea the new style pins should be here by the end of the week. So make sure you register your marker so they can be sent out.

Good to know. Haven't had a problem with it yet, but can see how it is possible to have one.
