Just got a new vapor my output tank pressure is 500 will that be ok or do I have to go lower? Also should I keep stock settings? If not what a good dwell setting to run off of. I am extremely happy with my vapor I just won't to tune this baby and make it run smooth. Does anyone know of a video on the vapor that shows break down cleaning and board settings. Maybe it's me bu the manual is lacking in that area

I call it a "learning experience"...I also consider it a lesson in humility.

Anyone have feedback on acidcustom's cf triggers? I already emailed John for info. but was wondering if anyone had gotten one already and tested it out.

I'll be buying one shortly so I'll have feedback sooner than later.

I remember him saying that he was going to make one, but I didn't hear anything else. He must be putting the finishing touches on them

Grips seem to have poor coverage.
Trigger adjustment is lacking in my opinion (have an acidcustoms on the way with 4 way adjustment)
Include manual
Allen keys that are included are terrible (see Macdev and/or Planet Eclipse)
Spare parts bag is lacking relative to Planet Eclipse
The anno on my back cap doesn't match the body.
Case:
  • While unique, is fairly large and bulky
  • Slots for barrels are not great and tend to flop around
  • Storage area is not easily accessible

And just to be clear, the Vapor is by far the best marker I have shot recently. List includes: Clone GT, Geo 2.1, Luxe 1.5 with 2.0 core, Ripper Victory, Ego 11, DM 12, and Clone V2.

Ergonomics are great for me, and it is my favorite marker I have shot yet to date. Please take the above as suggestions on how to further improve the experience.

Also going to PM you on a private matter.

And thanks for the suggestions, I'll forward those to Machine and see what they think.

One last thing to note, I just played yesterday, so I think I'll do a gun maintenance video today....we'll save the full-strip video for a little while because honestly, I don't want people breaking down the ENTIRE marker just because they're bored. That can only lead to trouble xD

Leak from Vent Port

Hey guys just got a vapor in a trade and when I aired it up there is a steady leak from the vent port but still seems to function fine. I took apart the bolt assembly cleaned and re-lubed everything the O-Rings look to be fine I did notice when adjust the FT Screw it can become stronger or more faint but never goes away completely. Also how do you guys have your reg adjusted?...(In case that questions kind of confusing what i mean is Like how many turns in is it)

If it's a steady leak but working fine, it's most likely either the bolt sail or the rear bolt guide orings. It's possible that it could be one of the orings on the outside of the can, but I'll take your word for it if they look fine.

As for HPR, it's whatever it takes to chrono 300; There should be a link for my tuning guide in my signature if you'd like to glance through it.

Living, I forgot to mention, make sure you don't put high pressure air to that gun. Hopefully you already read that in one of the threads. 450-550 is perfect.

I had a ninja pro reg with 2 shims out. Where the HPR was set at (not sure if you messed with that yet) was shooting 285-290. Field I played at was 290 limit.

Wow, what a disappointing day for me.

Took the vapor to the field today, with the flat face, and stock bolts, and was looking forward to a day for play. Sired it up, shot a shot or two through it to chrono, and then headed tot he field for the first game.

Literally, and I mean literally, 1 out of every 3 balls broke. Now, I was using crappy paint, but when using the same loader, bore size and paint in my G6r, it shot flawlessly. So, my thinking is, a gun that costs twice as much should be able to shoot the same paint without breaking, right? My friends Ego8, Dm7, Dm6, Mini, and luxe all shot the same paint, without breaking, while mine was breaking paint like a madman.

Anyway, ant first, I was thinking it was a fluke. So, I switched back over to my stock bolt: same result
Turned the feather-touch all the way up, down, and every way in between: same result
Upped all delay settings: same result
Turned my dwell to 13, max delay settings, and still, a nightmare.

I can not stress this enough, every one in three balls would chop, sometimes more. I had an entire rope chop, in an attempt to power through the breaks. It was insane. People were literally laughing from the sidelines, because my $1600 gun couldn't get a ball down range.

Now, I am in no way an amateur when it comes to setting up guns, so, ProMod, no offense, but the "refer to the tuning guide" while informative, does not solve this problem (at least in any way I can think of). You seem to know these vapors better than most, so i'm sure have a suggestion. I mean after balancing freestyles and bushmasters for years, the vapor seems straightforward operationally - hell, you don't even have to balance regs. Not to showoff how "great" I am, but it's not a "wHy wont m gUn trn on?!?!" question.

Thought I would ask if anyone else is having issues with breakage, and if so, how the corrected it. This has really got me baffled.

Had the same issues with mine as well whenever i had it, not sure why but after a few cases the paint breaking just stopped all on its own
