"SOLD" status

I know in the theft forum, when an issue is resolved, the mods (or someone) puts the word "resolved" in front of the thread title. I'm thinking that we could have access to a button in thread tools that marks our thread with the word "SOLD" in the same place where it says "resolved" in theft threads.

This would help both buyers AND sellers:

For buyers, they can navigate more quickly through the cluttered forums (like electronic markers) and easily see which ones they should not even bother with.

For sellers, it cuts out some of the pm's they get months later asking if the guns for sale.

I know some people will say that you can just change the body of the original post to "SOLD", but I try not to edit, that way if a buyer tries to say something was or was not disclosed, I have proof that it was or was not. It helps keep everyone honest.

The easiest thing to do is report your own thread once the item sells and ask for it be closed. The button would require custom coding, which isn't really going to happen. We would be happy to close it for you if you submit a report though.

even if the thread is closed people still pm you asking for the gun or giving offers when the thread is clearly closed or parked as sold

Sounds like a good idea to me. But coding seems hard to do.
