EGO on LPA?

Anyone here run lpa on either an Ego 10 or 11? How has it affected your efficiency (if at all)?

I'm buying a gun that recommends lpa, and instead of buying another tank am thinking about switching one to lpa.

Egos can run on LP as long as its a high quality reg, but PE recommends using HP. I've used a crossfire LP reg on my 06 Dark Ego with no problems, but there's no need for a LP reg unless you have another marker that needs a LP reg.

I run all the guns in my sig on ninja regulators with no shims @ +/- 400 psi...no shoot down great consistency as well as great efficiency.

ninja with no shims all the way, perfect for the ego 11, but slp is a hit or miss, just stick to lp or higher.

the regs on both of my tanks should go to 400 as a low, just I know the EGO 10 manual said that you could use LPA but it wasn't as good as HPA.

pre 07 egos prefer 550 or above pressure .

So sounds like I should save my money and just convert my existing bottles to lpa?

No there is no efficiency gains there is numerous videos on You Tube depicting this see for yourself. I ran a SLP on my CSL GEO2 and Ego8. On the GEO2 it smooths out the shot but has no efficiency gain what so ever over the HP.

On the CSL and Ego8 it did nothing but effect consistency. After switching to a HP I am noticing much better consistency.

I knew that there wouldn't be any gains, was looking more for issues (and I wouldn't be doing slp, just lp).

That sounds very wrong. The gun shouldn't shoot smoother. The pressures in the gun should stay the same. Switching tanks should cause velocity to change because the regs are being hit with different pressures, but your ending operating pressure should be the same. Thus the gun shouldn't be smoother. You should also gain a pod or so on efficiency.

Have you tried it? What you think should happen and what actually happens are two completely different things.

Don't believe me.
Watch the video, and spend the money to get one let me know how it works for you; Hell I will sell you mine. Regardless its off topic how it effects the GEO2. They're are a number of threads in the Geo forum that discuss this in depth. There is absolutely no benefit for a EGO to run an LP/SLP reg. It will effect consistency negatively from my experience .

Ran both of my CSLs last year on my SLP with no issues. In my opinion, efficiency gains are going to be attributed to being able to shoot deeper into the tank consistently with the SLP.
