Spyder Imagine Select

Bought one off my friend, I saw a mod for similar spyder markers that didn't supposedly void the warranty and allowed them to run on 9v batteries. All that had to be done was to grind the solenoid coil set down slightly (differs for each model). I was ondering if this wuld work on my marker and if I should do it since I'm on a budget and need a new battery.

You can pick up a new Spyder battery on eBay for $12. Don't put your electronics at risk over a few bucks - it never ends well trying to cut corners like that.
