Bushmaster rammer question

Is there anyway to adjust the ram or rammer on a bushmaster so the bolt does not sit so far back in the breach?

If you remove the hammer off the shaft, you can add a -010 oring, and that will move the hammer forward. Usually, the bolt doesn't sit too far back. Are you sure you have the ram screwed in all the way?

I will give that a shot, and I believe the ram screw is in all the way. I will have to check

I was experiencing a lot of chops and I was thinking I was over shooting my loader since i was using a revvy (and i could have been), but I noticed the ball stack would fluctuate depending on how the ball sat in the breach (either agains the oring detent or the bolt). it is possible i was clipping the balls in the stack, but I want to see what my options are.

check your detent first. if the detent is old, and the bolt sat forward a long time, the cocker detent spring will weaken.

not sorry for upping

cut the back nub of the ram shaft and polish it flat, in the ram cap leave the oring for the spring guide maybe add a couple and put a hollow spacer, then glue in the spacer hole a timmy detent, it makes for a very soft bumper and adjustable for bolt alignment
