This is passable in most other instances but the sniper/autococker is a different case than most because it literally is a pump with a semiauto kit grafted on, and the name itself refers to the automatic cocking of an otherwise not automatically cocking marker, i.e. the name itself refers to the semiautomatic version.

The most similar example I can think of is calling a Sidekick Stock a stock-class Sidekick Semi.
I am going to agree with you, because A sniper is a sniper, and an autococker is an autococker.

I still think it is douchebaggy to come in here to make a correction on something that makes does not add to the discussion. I mean, if someone is going to say CIP stuff is superior to CCM, I will argue that because it is obviously untrue. CCM makes high quality stuff that is superior to all.

I'm probably just not the right person to talk to about this stuff. I've always been a stickler for the sniper/autococker dichotomy and I will always look to correct mistakes, especially if an attempt at a justification is made. I don't really even like misusing "cocker" (e.g. "pump cocker") because it's short for autococker. Especially now that the Sniper has been re-released, I want to preserve the history. But that's just me and I know that players of my age and tenure are in the minority.

I feel the same way, Brother.

but, i'm not as much as a stickler that you are.

I say cocker in the pump forum and just expect others to know, " Hey a post in the pump section with the word cocker, must be a pump. "

BUT, we all have our own way. Right?

This is true, I do understand the difference BUT seriously this is the PUMP section, its assumed your talking about a sniper. If you arent your an idiot and will get your thread moved anyway. so i fail to see why people argue the point like this.

Not to belabor the point ... but I'ma belabor it one last time. It's addressed because if it is not addressed, sloppy terminology will become the norm. And we don't only mean sniper when we say autococker here. When I say autococker here, I mean autococker.

Although your right, I just gonna go ahead and be a dick and say that YOU are in the minority, Most people dont care about autocockers nor do they talk about them, Id say MORE autococker bodies have been converted to pumps than are still autocockers. And please dont talk about autocockers in a pump forum. They have thier own forum for that reason

IMO this is a relatively new player mentality, autocockers dominated paintball (and PBN) for a long, long time. No way there are more converted cockers out there, not by a long shot.

I already said I am in the minority, however being in the minority has no bearing on whether I'm right or not. Autocockers are semi guns, always have been, always will be, the very name means semi, and anyone calling a pump an autococker will always be wrong. Autococker pump will always be the equivalent of saying pump semi.

They are appropriately discussed in relationship to pumps since they can be converted back and forth. Though once you put a pump on it, it's not an autococker anymore.

Yes, but in that terms..

When you bring it up in a conversation, I would be urged to say yeah my honda with a Nissan engine.

So I guess the main argue here is... we should say " Yeah my autococker, that has a pump kit. "

CCM parts are the only parts that go into my pumps. hands down they are the nicest people to work with(when your looking for parts) and they are quick with emails/pm's. overall they make great parts that can take a beating.

CCM has set a pretty good standard in pump. There is no denying that. And what sets them apart from the rest of the competition is their service.

A couple weeks ago, I accidentally ordered T2 main springs when I needed Standard ones. They were willing to exchange them and I just pay shipping. Which is very fair enough and should be standard practice for companies. During my correspondence, I decided it was not worth the wait time to return the springs and wait for return shipping. Standard USPS would have been a whole week and a half for me to ship it back, and then wait for them to reship to me.

So what I ended up doing was buying the standard springs and explained to them I would eat the cost on my mistake. They met me halfway on their own accord and without me asking, to not charge me shipping on my order of the standard main springs.

When doing the math...
8.50 for the 2 T2 springs I accidentally ordered.. 6 bux plus 2.50 shipping.
6.00 for the order of the Standard Springs. 6 bux flat. They ate the shipping cost. Total cost was 3.63 per spring. Had they not discounted me the shipping, it would have come out to 4.25 a spring.

If I had just returned them and waited for the right ones.
8.50 for the T2 springs.
3.50 addl shipping to get my order corrected.
total cost per spring would have been 6.00

Now I just have 2 extra springs I do not need, and of course I have friend a friend with a T2, so if I am just going to give him a couple springs cuz I am nice like that.
