so beginner is only for people that havent been in a tournament before?

Send PMs to the free agents on the original post. There are a lot of them. For beginner, you need to be D5 on the APPA system. If you have never played a tournament you can play beginner. If you have only played the lowest beginner divisions, then you can play beginner. If you have past tournament experience other than local events, then you need to play Open. |

For the PTS Series, you do not have to have an APPA account. If you have an APPA or an NPPA account, then these are good ways of judging whether you should be in Beginner or Open. If you do not have one, then you do not need to worry about creating one for this event. Also, the only Pev's tournament that you need an ID, is for the 7Man series where an NPPL (NPPA) ID is needed. 3man and 5man therefore do not require an ID.

alright, thanks man, they sent us the number this morning though
the guy at the front desk told us they might make us play open but we don't have any tournament experience...

EDIT: My team backed out because they don't want to play Open...
If anybody needs 1 more for Open, I am down. Let me know ASAP.
Beginner is majority Tippman's...so I'm not playing that.

That is not what he was saying. He said that his team backed out because he does not want to play Beginner. To play in the beginner division, everybody on the team needs to be a beginner. If anybody is not a Beginner then you have to play Open.
To clarify, many beginners will have advanced guns. They will simply be newer to the tournament scene. There WILL be a Beginner and an Open Division.
Sign up by 5PM today if you have not already. I recommend calling earlier to make sure everything goes smoothly. It makes it easier for us to plan and organize everything such as how many fields we will need. |

I spoke with the field manager and it looks like you are correct. I thought you had misread the post above yours at first.
Due to the amount of teams that have signed up, there will be an Open division but no Beginner division. There are currently 9 Open teams signed up and since there were 0 Beginner teams on Sunday we have cancelled the Beginner division.
