Out of paint on field?
I was curious, if you run out of paintballs in both your hopper and pods, do you have to leave the field?
I was playing a recball game and I ran out of paint, but I stayed in, acting like a dummy target. I was trying to "draw fire" so my teammates could move up. Afterwards I felt kinda bad lol but I never got hit..

I always stay in if I run out of paint. Unless I'm the only person left lol.

There's nothing wrong with that. If your in Afghanistan, and you run out of ammo, do you just call it quits and walk out as an easy target? Hope not.
Hell, dry firing can work sometimes too. I did it, and sometimes it works. I made some guy surrender without paint and he fell on his *** hoping to not get shot.

I'm pretty sure paintball isn't any way related or at all similar to live fire in the sandbox. Just saying.
No don't get out, draw fire and actually try to be aggressive. If you take the 50, you are a HUGE threat, you will have at least two guns on you. Sit tight, stay alive and let your team do work.

Paintball has always been simplified to three basic elements in game play. Moving, Shooting, and Communicating. Being out of paint only has an effect on one of those. Staying in the game and moving/communicating can greatly benefit your team.
Stay in the game until someone makes you get out.

That's actually what I was doing. I had to turn the eyes off on my mini and then I started shooting at a guy sitting in the back to get my friend up to me.
It was on a hyperball/woodsball field so we both moved up to finish the rest of the team (me "taking point" just in case we got shot at).

I just pick up the paintballs on the ground (wipe them off with my shirt and some spit of course) Then stick them back in my rotor and fire away with my DM12.

I've continued to snap with someone when I ran out of air. They stayed in their bunker and concentrated on me so they didn't shoot cross field or advance or anything.

Right but they are pros using the best paint on usually dry turf fields. Not two month old paint in the woods or grass.

Plus they didn't pay for their guns. If I got top of the line guns for free and got them replaced for free, I wouldn't care what happened to them either.

It's a good idea to stay in and coordinate with your teammates...the only problem is if you end up being the last one left. But a lot of pb is about teamwork and if you can relay enemy positions and draw fire, you can be effective without a gun.

I stay in and try to call out the other team when I see them, and wait to find someone with extra paint to reload my hopper.

if you put your barrel cover over your gun, it makes it sound like your shooting paint..just snap in and out, and call out positions..get some paint from a friend and get up the field
