Battery life on ego

When you store your ego, does it make a difference if you take out the battery in order to extend battery life? I heard it slowly drains it little by little. I've got an ego 11.

Yes it does slowly drain the battery while being connected even when off just about all electronic devices do. Taking the battery out really wouldn't make a huge difference and just seems like it would be a hassle. I say leave it in.

If you are not using it for long periods of time like months or years, it wouldn't hurt. I haven't really seen a huge drain if you leave it in.

Planet Eclips did really well shutting down parasitic draw on their boards. I received my SL94 in February and the battery showed about 3/4. The only reason why I changed the battery is because I was playing in a tournament and didn't want it to go down on me.

I would reccomend taking the batteries out of any battery powered device if storing for an extended period of time. We have all seen them "explode" or leak acid in some sort of device and this can definitely happen in an Ego.

It's fine to leave it in. Removing the battery is not worth the hassle. If you play paintball once twice a year it will still be fine.
