I have already searched via google with no luck. I am hoping that someone came across the backs somewhere off the beaten path.

I have only seen black on Warped Sportz I believe.

Is there a different PE barrel set that comes in red that I could be looking for?

You could just buy the black ones and get them annodized. The only other option is shaft 4 if you want to stick with PE.

I just recently got an Ashes red Shaft4 Boost kit, but I'll warn you that the color varies from batch to batch. I'm really impressed with it though.

From what I understand the shaft 4 will not work with the shaft 3 so I would have to get the whole kit to get the different backs. 160 I am trying to avoid

Not compatible but if you are wanting to stick with PE barrels then you really only have a few choices.
1. Keep trying to find a red shaft 3 boost kit.
2. Buy the black boost kit and get it annodized.
3. Switch to shaft 4.

Your best bet would be to search through the b/s/t as much as possible. I've seen them in there not that long ago.

The guys in the annodizing section would be able to help you out with that better. But I think the max you would pay is $75 and that is from lasermygun.
