I'll chime in here and say that I think I have a pretty unique frame, so it is unlikely that many guys will look the same as me at the same weight. With a shirt on, you're apt to look much larger, due to the length and lithe nature of my limbs and how dense I am. Without fail, anyone I've pursued an athletic activity with is shocked by how heavy I am when they try to move me or guess my weight. People usually think I'm in the 180 range. I'm guessing some of this also has to do with how much weight I hold in my back, but maybe not.

TL;DR: Everyone is different. It is probably gonna take me another ~15lbs to be what someone would picture a lean 5'10 200lb athlete to look like.

Never thought I would look like this, but at the same time I'm incredibly demotivated when it comes to lifting. I just don't have that fire that I used to. Hopefully this passes, I just don't even have fun in the gym, when I used to ****ing love it.

SP: I would take the a week off. When I get burned out, my motivation has always returned after taking break.


Plus it will give your body a fresh start to get lifts progressing again.

Ari - you're just occupied with other ****. It'll pass. I'd suggest going to the gym and ****ing around by doing whatever you want. Helped me at least.

im in the same boat man, started getting less intense, i haven't been in the gym in almost a week but i've also been very busy doing some business so i guess it justifies it. the positive note, when you come back you'll start getting that extremely sore feeling that you used to get lol

My first go. These are my results since starting in May. I know it's nothing to be impressed by, but it's a work in progress. Lats and traps need a lot of work. Other things too, but those two are really sad atm.

Long term goals: bench 225 (175 current), squat 315 (255 current), DL 405 (290 current). All the current numbers are as of today.

Iknowthatfeelbro.jpg. i get the exact same way occasionally. actually probably 3-5 times per year. sometimes you need to take a few days or week off of everything. dieting, training, everything to do with lifting. sometimes even a few weeks. after that you should get that fire back. i took like a month and a half off of lifting back in highschool one time. yes you will lose some muscle but you need to get over that hump and get the motivation back. mental burnouts are the worst.

I went about a month without working out, period. Not because I couldn't, but because I didn't want to. Never felt better, and never felt better, more clear headed with a sense of direction in my work out than after that.

TL;DR: take some time off, keep eating healthy, live your life - then bring back fitness into your life...rather than making it your life.
