APX Dimples
First off I have to say that overall I've had the best results shooting APX paint. The only APX paint I've shot was Fyre and Aggro Pro and every box I bought had dimples on every ball. With all those dimples they still shoot straighter than any other paint I've used and I want to know if anyone has any idea why.

Didn't see any dimples with the Fyre I shot, Agro pro had some but it's all straight flying for me. I'm in love with APX paint, feels good having good consistent paint for practice through Agro pro and would shoot Fyre in events.

Yeah that's what I'm going to start doing now, I just think its weird I get so many dimples every time I get a case. Guess it doesn't really matter because it still flies straight

Heard this before...I'd love to see a visual confirmation.
Next time you get some dimpled APX, set up a board @ 80', clamp your marker or hold it against something solid to keep it as still as possible and shoot a 20 shot group at the board. Fresh Evil or Marbs will give a 14" dia. 20 shot grouping at 80'.

You are definitely not the first to mention this as I have had this experience too with slightly dimpled apex paint. One person speculated it might be due to the generally heavy fill that allows it to keep its trajectory and momentum. I tend to agree but no real tests have been done as far as I know.

It being the fill would make a lot of sense, I'll try doing a test next time I get some apx

Shot another case this weekend.
Agro pro was breaking on everyone, not a single chop or break and flew straight.
While everyone shooting premium were getting plenty of bounces

Yeah I've noticed the same thing. I love APX paint also but I've never had a batch that wasn't super dimpled. Still flies straight and consistent over the chrono but the dimples always make me wtf.

The dimples are caused by drying time when the ball is produced it goes through a dryer once they are dry for a certain amount of time they will sit on a tray that is when you will get dimples but very few. This does not change the fact that APX has created a monster of a product that will dominate the rest of the paint companies here in the next year. last i heard they have a distributor of there product in Nor California now and will have some on the east coast so getting paint to all of us will be easier and the price is great also

just got a case of fyre this week and no dimples, the shell is a lot more brittle this time around. break at about 4 to 5 feet drop test. also seems to be a bit smaller, around .682 size.
only complaint i have is wish it was orange fill instead of yellow, love orange fill since it's so birght
