PLEASE don't let that chick on the mic again, Bea or whatever her name is. I know you guys can't get Matty Marshall, but at least get someone who is knowledgeable and who can actually follow the action. The HB webcast was like fingernails on a chalkboard...
And please leave a mic on by the field so we can hear field noise. Also please lose the stupid splitscreen breakout shot.

I personally hope to catch fridays action along with the sunday finals. I dont think any one would sat they enjoyed hb nppl webcast more than psp phoenix. But.... The hb webcast was still better than nothing.

Agreed. The problem was that she didn't have anyone to work with. She was less of a commentator and more of a narrator. Not her fault, once they started getting people up in the box with her it was a little better. Matty Marshall wasn't exactly always the best announcer, but there is no doubt that he has hit his stride and knows what people want to hear.
My biggest problem was that the feed never seemed to work.
If NPPL really wanted to leap ahead of PSP in regards to a webcast, but can't devote resources to a producer or announcers, put the cameras on individual servers and let everyone choose the camera they want to watch. I know I would open 4 or 5 windows to follow the action on my own. Look at what NBC does with Sunday Night football, you can watch the main feed or manually select the camera you want to watch. |

I read in an earlier post that there was no way to get Matty, why is this?

Its probably because he's under contract with the PSP/PBA.... Although he was doing commentary for NCPA as well, so who knows.
Although I'm disappointed there won't be a webcast, I can see why. To have another event with a shoddy webcast two weeks before the PSP webcast (which is obviously going to be AWESOME) would only serve to make the NPPL look bad. Better to have NO webcast and then people won't have anything bad to say.

Are you saying her commentary for the HB webcast was on the same level as a Matty Marshall or Todd Martinez? Didn't think so.
Nothing against her personally. I just think she did a bad job of that webcast, which ruined it for me. Many others share my opinion, even if they're too afraid to speak on it.
