Alternating starting sides

I don't know if its happened to any other teams this season, but we for whatever reason will play the same side of the field 5/6 games (both first events) and 5/7 times (last event).
I realize this a small problem, but it would be nice to get back to swapping sides as I can only remember this happening this season. This last event we felt one side had an advantage and we only got to play it twice. We were scheduled to play it 3 times, but Ken made us swap sides for some reason as we walked on the field, only allowing us to play the other twice...
This seems like a simple scheduling problem

Since the schedule dictates which team will start on which side, I think it's really APPA jacking up the side balance. If the refs tried to fix it themselves, it would be a mess because of the multiple fields. The refs could always just ignore what the APPA says and we could flip/roshambo/dance-fight for it.

I say **** APPA and we ro-sham-bo for it. Winning team gets to pic the side they want. That way it is 100% random where you will be.

Really doesn't bother me much though, as long as the "run" from the start spot on both sides of the field is the same.

It happened to us first event but since them it has not been a problem
